Do you feel hot/warm in a city area filled with cars and smokers ?

I know I do, when I go out with my father for the movies and we cross the street and stuff, I can feel really really hot, due to the massive number of cars and smokers.

This is green related for obvious reasons.

Do you think it is possible to make these areas, less hot (not related to poll questions, this is a question where you reply to answer ) ?

JigSaw : The same is true in my area as well. Perhaps our bodies are accustomed to it more than Didowe?

Hmm... , no, can't say I have. Sometimes I feel winded or sick... but I never notice a heat change. Perhaps it's just stuffy or something in the city you're talking about? Which one is it?

Well, not really. I do see many cars driving along and many smokers, but I don't even notice any difference in temperature because of them.

In the summer here, a little bit. It rises about 5 degrees or so over blacktop, due to heat from the sun reflecting off of the black color, and the smoke from cars just amplifies it.

That can effectively raise the temperature here to a bit over 100 degrees Fahrenheit where I live. I like those temperatures. Others don't.

I always feel like the air is fresher and nicer, the further away I am from lots of cars/traffic and heavily populated areas. So I would have to say yes.

I don't feel "hot" so much as I feel stuffy. To be around cars it is definitely hotter, but what I notice more is the air quality.

In the summer, it always feels hotter to be in a city with cars. Even in the winter, there is often less snow in cities because of the heat rising from the buildings and traffic. It melts before it hits the ground.

When I get near cars, usually I feel warm, but sometimes I feel no effect to temperature at all, but on a hot day, I feel hot near cars.
