Who is your favorite and your least favorite Final Fantasy Character and why?

My Favorite would have to be Delita from Final Fantasy Tactics.
He was an average commoner who lost his sister in the begining of the game
and ended up manipulating all the bad guys and eventually ruling his own kingdom.
He was also Ramzas best friend and fell in love with Princess Ovilia.

My least favorite would have to be Tidus.
He was a coward and a sissy pretty much lol.
His final overdrive was pretty lame compared to other characters final attacks
and his voice was just plain annoying. 10 was a great game but if it only had a better
main character it could have been that much better.

My personal favorite would have to be Kefka from VI. He achieved god-like status through unique means,then fell from grace in one of the most visually and audiably (or however you spell it) amazing battles in the series. The crazy clown has my respect.

My least favorite is Sephiroth (god forbid the day that someone comes along who does knot know who he is). A dry personality,a poser taking the spotlight away from the true main antagonist of FFVII,and a large fanbase existing soley because of ONE decent pose in the entire game. His story and his peronality are cliche,his attacks in-game are re-skinned concepts of other games that didn't get the public's eye,and I do not like him one bit.

Nice Kefka was probbly the most evil boss in any Final Fantasy. Sephiroth was pretty cool but I would definetely say he is very overrated. He not only had the cool pose but his music was good and he killed Areas which did everyone a favor because she was an awful character lol. But yea he is mostly popular by people who probably haven't even beaten 7. Kefka is a classic you have to be a true fan to know about him but he is one sick dude.

I'll have to admit,his theme WAS good,and Aerith was a bit annoying. If he had a richer personality and a less cliche wardrobe,I would actually like him as a villan. It's good to finally meet another tru FF fan. Kefka doesn't get his share of the spotlight mostly due to there being very few real FF fans out there nowadays. People play kingdom hearts and think that suddenly they know all there is to know about Final Fantasy. It's really sad.

HolyFoxKing : Most people I see who are "fans" of Final Fantasy, never even played the first 6 (and best) FFs. It is very sad. Kingdom Hearts is overrated.

Anyway, I love so many characters. Cecil, Terra, Shadow, Cain, Celes, among many others I really identify with. I really dislike Kefka. It just goes to show how well he was in his role as antagonist in the game. He's not particularly cool, pure evil, crazy, nihilistic, among many other negative qualities (HE LOOKS LIKE A CLOWN). It's like they tried to make a character who we could all hate, and they succeeded. So yes, I do not like him, but that is the point. FFVI is simply brilliant.

Ok, one thing that I am VERY confused on is Aeris. Some call her "Aeris", some "Aerith". In the game, however, it is "Aeris". So? Are some people just radical morons and can't get her name right, or am I just a retard and can't read right?

My favorite charater would be Selphie from FFVIII, she's funny, cute, and brain dead all at once and she brings a certain "liveness" to the game. Her introduction just cracks me up when she falls down the tiny hill.

Least favorite would for me would have to be Tidus. He's pretty much a loser. And has the most annoying laugh ever. (Talking about when he and Yuna have a random laugh seen on the bridge). And he's a poor motivator.

To be FF_Freak it's odd you don't know this...

Aerith is her Japanese name. I'm thinking when they say it they say "Aeris" but since I only know a little about Japanese I'm not positive. The reason I say this is because in "A One Winged Angel" (the original not KH version) they always seem to say Sephiros not roth like it is in the game, I have the soundtrack and have heard it numerous times.

Anyways I'm moving this to video game franchises. *moves*

MichaelVash7886 : Actually,i'm pretty sure it's the other way around. Aerith is her name in official FF material released in the US. Aeris was just the translation that those who got a fan-translated copy had.

No, I played that game at least 3 times over, her name was Aeris. However, in Kingdom Hearts they apparently changed it back to Aerith (a google search is showing they did that in the 90s to make the names look more like they are pronounced, so it looking like my theory is correct.)

So yeah, SE just tries to confuse us again.

It's like when you are talking about FF6 and someone says FF3, one of us will say "the old FF3" haha.

I like Vincent Valentine the best because of his background story and because every girl loves a bad boy. We can't help it. It's in our genes. (That's not meant in any kind of fan girl way.)

My least favorite character is a tie between Lucrecia and Hojo. I hate them both with a burning fiery passion. Mostly because they are the ones who made Sephiroth into an a** hole. He was all cool in Crisis Core until he found out the experiment that his mother and father did on him and then he went berserk. And it's all their fault. Pricks. lol

Another favorite of mine was Cid from FFVII. He was always talking s*** and screaming at everyone.It was also funny when they had a meeting in the haunted mansion and he fell asleep in the chair.

Another person I hated a lot was Algus. Stuck up rich boy with no rank was always talking down to Delita and he killed his sister... Delita got his revenge on him though.

My favorite final fantasy character is Zack Fair from Final Fantasy 7 crisis core, he is a young puppy, every time I see him, he has tons of energy, but when the time comes to be serious he becomes serious. Zack is powerful, yet kind, he shows that he cares about others than himself, violence is his last resort, but if he was pushed to fight or no other choice but to do so, then he fights for his life or others.

Snow Villiers fromm FF13 would be a good character but I don't have PS3 or Xbox 360, I couldn't play FFX because of the lousy lead character with the stupid outfit, he was so lame I couldn't stand having to use him and traded the game.

Squall Leonhart for his ability to do long combo attacks with his gunblade by combining the renzokuken with the lionheart technique. Least favorite is Caith Sith because it's a mere puppet control by Reeve from a distance.

My favorite is Vivi, from Final Fantasy 9, for obvious reasons.

Least favorite has to be Sazh from Final Fantasy 13, because of how horrible of a character he is to play.

My favorite is definitely Yuffie from Final Fantasy VII. For a character who wasn't even required to beat the game, she was such a developed character that I can't even begin to imagine what the game would've been like if I hadn't gotten her. When Cloud is being sad, Barret is being angry, Aerith is being... unfortunately...deceased, and Vincent is being quiet and withdrawn, Yuffie can come in and make things seem bitter, if only a little. Her face on the menu screen always brightened me up a bit. And, of course, you can't forget her GIANT SHURIKEN. How anything could survive being hit with that beats me. The thing is probably over two feet long!

My least favorite is Hope, from FF XIII. Geez, the guy is emo in pretty much every way- his hair, his personality, and EVERY SINGLE THING HE SAYS. For a guy named Hope, he really sucks it out of pretty much every situation. When he finally stops being angsty, what happens? He becomes really angry! His weapon - a boomerang- is so tiny and harmless looking that it would probably do a better job as a flyswatter. However, I do think it looks pretty cool when he throws it, so it isn't all bad. Still, its nowhere near as awesome as Yuffie's sick shuriken.

My favorite is probably the warriors of light (I'm counting them as 1)
