I've heard all about it and I don't think it accomplishes a whole lot. Beyond changing your profile pic what has anyone actually done? Seems like so many other pointless things people do on facebook.

This is my current status.... which makes fun of a lot of other statuses:

"WARNING!! PLEASE READ. If someone comes to your front door and asks you to remove your clothes and dance with your arms in the air. DO NOT do this. It is a scam. They just want to see you naked. Please copy and paste this to your status. I wish I had received this yesterday. I feel so stupid now..."

People are silly. This is about as "real" as e-mail chain letters.

I think in a lot of the cases with people I know, some people start it with the knowledge of why. People they know think it's just another Facebook trend for a few days. It reaches a point where it's really just for fun, but the original reason for it is still there. People who know about it can also tell others why it's going on and that does help spread the word. Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
