I haven't, and I'm proud to say that. I convinced my girlfriend to skip shopping that day too, even though she wanted to really bad. I made a deal with her though. Haha

"If you don't buy anything at Black Friday prices until midnight, I'll give you a free coupon to use whenever you want to make me do anything you choose, as long as it is within my power and does not publicly humiliate or harm either of us."

She still hasn't used it yet... I'm still scared... Haha

It is madness...

People have been killed in the past because of it. I am scared of black friday now, I didn't go this year because it just wasn't worth it. Nothing I wanted enough.

Nope, it's way to crowded every where. Way to many people running around and what not.

No, I don't think I even bother leaving the house. I think things like Black Friday are disgusting to be honest. Even going shopping around Boxing Day or Christmas ticks me off, the way stores try to promote being materialistic is just beyond me. Gross.

As a parent, I'm forced to participate in Black Friday in order to get my boy the toys he wants for Christmas. I do, However, have a fond memory of this day. When I was in high school, I got a part-time job at Kay-Bee Toys for some extra holiday cash. I clocked in at three o'clock in the morning on Black Friday, and was constantly restocking the shelves for about five hours. After that, the store just died. NOBODY was coming in to shop or even look around.

My buddy Jeff and I exchanged laments on how bored we were. Jeff said he had an idea and went to the back. When he came back, he had two lightsabers in hand. We went out to the front of the store and started a Star Wars lightsaber duel. After about five minutes, we'd gotten about fifteen people to come in and look around. Our manager had seen us and came up to us, looking upset. He walked like he was angry, with his back stiff and hands clasped firmly behind his back. He asked us what the heck we were doing, the anger looming on his face. Jeff and I explained what we were doing; lightsaber duels to cure boredom and try to attract customers. Our manager shook his head and said, "And you didn't bother to invite me?!" At that moment, he brought his hands out from behind his back and produced the Darth Maul double-sided lightsaber. The three of us then recreated the final battle of Episode I.

Good times.

Nope, and I will, for sure, NEVER do that. I don't like Black Friday traps...

I rarely go shopping, much less going while there are many other people there as well.

Nope, my family wont risk our lives to get freaking sales for one day...we wait for a regular day, so it isnt life threatening

No why would I waste my precious sleep for a bunch of crappy gifts

Well, my parents sometimes go, but not me. Not worth risking my life for a few gifts on sale.

I have shopped on Black Friday several times. I never really went out for shopping as much I actually went for the experience with good friends of mine. You'd be surprised what we've done. We do what we can to help each other out, and we avoid Wal-Mart for obvious reasons.

No Black Friday Here !

Trixie : There is what's called Cyber Monday which is on the Monday following Thanksgiving. This day is when you should be able to find the Black Friday-like deals online. Maybe try that this upcoming holiday season.

Nope. The closest I've ever had was going to Fred Meyers really early Christmas Day to get my present, a Nintendo Wii. The store gave out tickets like they were going to raffle off who would go in first, but so few people came that they just let everyone in as soon as it opened.

Well, when I worked at Target, I technically participated in it. Just from the other end. It SUCKS. People are so rude, impatient, demanding, and often violent. I never feared for my safety working at Target until I worked electronics on Black Friday at 4am when those doors opened. Particularly when Wii JUST came out, and the Target I worked at advertised that they have been hoarding 500 Wii systems specifically for that day. 

As far as shopping, My fiancee went shopping to places that were doing a Black Wednesday, but it wasn't busy or crazy, but the prices we got were amazing. As far as the actual Black Friday, we go after all the craziness has died down. The way we see it, those people are not worth saving a few dollars. If we want something, we can wait. Especially when there have been people who have died at the door after getting trampled. 

Yes. I have done two serious black fridays. One of them was because I wanted to see what it was like. The second was because of a Gamestop sale. I leave you with a nice Black Friday song:
