Im going to go out on a limb and say if any of you have seen American History X, you're awesome. Basically, the plot is A former neo-nazi, (Edward Norton,) skinhead tries to prevent his younger brother, (Edward Furlong,) from going down the same wrong path that he did.

It's not an uplifting movie at all, but if you know that going into it, It's probably one of the best rides you'll ever go on.

Toxic Avenger is an awesome movie that everyone ive talked to about havent heard of it. Another good movie not many people have heard of is "Battle Royale".. its a rather gruesome asian movie thats about a school of kids so bad the government sends them to an island with explosive ankle bracelets and are given a random bag of weapons on arrival.. they have to kill each other and the last kid standing gets to live and leave the island.

Another great movie nobody has probably heard of or watched...Eraserhead. It was weird, strange and very disturbing. However there was something visionary about it, the fact that this came from someone's mind is nearly unbelievable......David Lynch is one creative filmmaker.

Um, "The Proposal" and "Valentine's Day". They may seem like "chick-flix", but they're SO funny! Also, I don't think many people have heard of "Kung-POW" which is really funny parody of old Kung-Fu movie. Finally, I think the "Back to the Future" and "Ghostbusters" movies have been forgotten and neglected, but they were AWESOME.

A movie I just bought random and I really like is Mongol. It's a movie directed by Sergei Bodrov and tells the story of Dshingis Khan. It has a great story with good characters and good action. An independent movie from Russia you should have watched!

One that not many people will know of is " A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum". Its  a movie based on a musical and some of the songs were kept in the movie.  It's a good lighthearted almost slapstick comedy.
