I wake up every day
Same time, same way.
Cold and alone,
In my small cramped bed.

Surrounded by a phone
That never goes off,
A basketball I never use,
And plenty of comfort food.

The day starts like s***,
Bt gets better.
I get to talk to you,
Feel like there's a point.

My heart beats.
It sings.
It does everything,
that I always dreamed.

My worries vanish,
They disappear,
Behind the crashing falls,
And the beating of my heart,

But all good things,
Must come to an end,
And you must leave,
Sleep is important.

Then I move on,
And talk to other friends,
Who maintain my mood,
Understanding pain.

Then one by one they log off...
My friends are off to bed.
But no not I, the one and only
The one who is restless

This is my curse,
I cannot sleep,
I stay up through all hours
Maybe, I am an insomniac.

This is my curse,
One I live with,
And every night,
It eats away at me.
