I love the older versions of pokemon as all the other remakes are nothing like them, but for some reason every other version works except them. They start up fine, and if i had more patience I would play them. But in the rgr player it seems as though it autosaves every like 10 seconds. sometimes it only takes a second but sometimes it can take several minutes where the screen freezes until it has saved. I don't know how to fix this problem but it is so much more useful to play the game with the speed up button, I hate wasting my time playing the old game boy game. If you could fix the autosave to make the game able to play smoothly I think it would be AMAZING.

jonnmann :

I've had a similar issue with Pokemon Crystal. I tested it by saving it myself and waiting for an autosave. When I loaded, it went back to my save, rather than the autosave. This problem is generally accepted as just lag. When it lags, the only message it can go to is about saving.

Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue could be different, but considering the similarities between the issues, I think it's the same problem.
