I always have had very good relationships with my girlfriends right up until we break up.

My first girlfriend and I split up on my birthday. The next breakup ended on valentine's day. A few others fell on birthdays of theirs. My most recent and terrible breakup was last Christmas.

Now I fear of ever getting into another relationship because of my bad luck, Why does this happen to me??!!

I had 1 serious girlfriend my entire life before I met my wife and we got married.... don't stress about it.

And it's hard to know why it happens when we know very little about you.

A generalization I've found is that most relationships fail because one or both of the people in it are too selfish. That's just what I've observed though, I'm sure it's not always the case.

Don't worry so much. Not all of us can find a significant other early in life. For some it takes time. You just haven't found a girl that understands you enough yet. But you will so don't let it get to you. Don't lose your confidence over a few breakups. Geeze I've had about twelve boyfriends since I was twelve years old so I went through quite I few before I found the right guy. Just be patient and give it time. You'll find the Juliet to your Romeo. Yeah, I was just lame enough to say that.

I wouldn't worry about it so much. You, me, we're all still young. As you mature you will learn from your past mistakes, move on, and hopefully you'll find a keeper.

There were a couple girls I really thought could be the right one, but I never started a relationship with them and they both have boyfriends...just my luck I guess

I think that you shouldn't stress too much on it. After all, everyone has their ups and downs in life. I think that sometime in the future you'll find the perfect girl for you.

You aren't alone dude. I seem to have the same problem. Just keep your head strong, and keep rolling. Don't let this get you down. Everyone has one person out there for them, and for some of us, we got two, and that's when you know you hit the jackpot

It's trite and clichéd..but my friend, you are young. have some faith, and a little patience. It's not about who's got their soulmate fastest..it's about finding that one special someone. Heck, I'm over 30 and single. I don't fret, because I know that a.) she is out there somewhere for me and b.)if she isn't here yet that means it isn't time yet, that's all. just be calm, be patient and be vigilant...like the Heinz commercials say, 'Good things come to those who wait!"

DAEDAE : Well, I don’t know where to go with this one… I myself have not had the best of luck in the relationship department either so I can understand how you’re feeling in a way. I was engaged twice before I was twenty years old so that right there is not something I look back on fondly.

I guess the best thing that I can tell you is that it will get better in time. Sometimes people think of fairytales when they get into a relationship thinking that they’ll meet the one of them right out of the gate and live happily ever after.

Although some things like that have happened I believe it to be a rarity. Relationships take a lot of work and if your in a relationship with someone who does not put the effort into the relationship that you do than you are probably setting yourself up for disappointment. I speak from experience having had a couple of experiences in relationships similar to yours in how they ended so I understand how you feel in this regard.

I have also had a couple of relationships that ended simply because the person that I was seeing was not interested in meeting me halfway to make the relationship work. It is regrettable on one hand because you feel initially that it is your fault but on the other hand, it is better to find out that a person just isn’t committed early in a relationship rather than later on when it might be more serious in terms of the status of the relationship.

I’m not sure what the exact definition of depression is but I know that initially it was a real downer for me to go through some of those experiences and as I said if you’re feeling this way I can certainly understand where you’re coming from.

It has been a couple of years since I have been in a relationship but looking back on everything that I have been through I believe that it served to make me a better person in the long run and without going through it I probably wouldn’t be the person that I am today.

I am not sure of the circumstances that led to your problems in relationships but the one thing that you should not think is that it is a problem with you. At the end of the day, we are all human; we all make mistakes and errors in judgment. It is not important to focus on mistakes necessarily as much as it is to look on those mistakes as part of a maturing process that will serve to make you a better person.

It can be complicated to a degree because in my case I do have some regret in regard to some relationships in how they ended and wish I could have a second chance with. While other relationships I consider myself fortunate that they did not go beyond a certain point because as I said if the person you’re in a relationship with does not have the same commitment to the relationship as you do and is not willing to make an effort that you are to make the relationship work; it’s better to find out early rather than later.

I have learned to take it as it comes in regard to relationships and I try not to rush into anything. It may be a little different for you because everyone is different in how they approach certain things but my advice is to take it one day at a time.
