I'd like to get a GIF image of Stefan using Astra from Fire Emblem 9. I can get the video of it on my own, but I have no idea how to convert it to a GIF image.

I have Windows Vista with the standard video programs that it comes with. I'm also not interested in downloading or buying any new programs.

Can someone explain how to convert it?

I think this fits better in this forum, rather than the Help forum. It's more of a computer thing than a Vizzed thing. If I'm wrong, feel free to move it and let me know.

Not positive but I think you'd need Photoshop, but someone else will be able to tell you for sure. What I will say is I doubt you'll be able to make it with the stock windows software, but I could be wrong.

If you do need photoshop you could always consider downloading GIMP as it's open source.

MichaelVash7886 :
I'm cautious with downloading unless it's an official site or a site I've used before (like Cnet) because I've downloaded from random sites in the past and I always get viruses. I don't know how to deal with them myself, so I end up paying someone else at least $50 to clean it all up.

EDIT

I found this program on Cnet:
http://download.cnet.com/PhotoScape/3000-2192_4-10703122.html?tag=mncol

AVG, Super AntiSpyware, and Malwarebytes all scanned it and found nothing. It worked perfectly. My new image is up now. I ended up having to break the video down into 20 images though. That was the only downside.

Just letting you know in case you were interested in another program.

You can go ahead and close this if you want. I'm done with it and no one else has posted anything.
