I'm in a place I never thought I'd go,
I never thought I'd get this far,
I'm 18 years young, life ahead,
I've got plenty to do, can't stop now.

There's no pressure, should I fail,
No one thought I'd ever be here,
I probably should have offed myself
Long ago, but here I am now, and now I know.

That I've gone further than
Anyone thought I'd ever go,
I'm here right now, struggling,
But after this time, it's time you know,

This isn't the right place for me,
I've already filled up my history,
Time to clear the cache and the memory,
And start from scratch.

I'm failing, and it's time to go,
I need to get my head in this game now,
Even running is growing dull,
And everything in life looks like bull.

It's time I moved on,
And left this place,
It's time I got up and
Saved some face.

It took me till now...
To realize,
That this is just not
The right place for me.

So should I pack up,
And leave my home,
Leave behind,
All that I know,

Make a stand,
And move my legs,
Keep my head up,
And break it down.

Or should I stay,
And bank on the chance,
That this is not real,
And that I will advance.

Is it too late,
Have I missed the window,
Will I be able to catch up,
Or will it all be in vain.

Whichever way that I go,
And in whatever way that I fall,
I can at least be proud of myself,
I never thought I'd get this far.

...Wow...It's...different, but I definitely think its good. It seems you put lots of thought and life experience into this and that this is a somewhat reflection of your life thus far.

My question to you is: For what reasons did you decide to write this poem, and what inspired you to do so. It has quite the gloomy dark feel to it, but that is what makes it insiteful.

SilverMaestro : What inspired me? Well, last night I was thinking of how far behind I am falling, in school, life, love, everything all at once, and it seems like it's just always coming back to the same thing. And in the end, I just think it's time to start over again, because I normally have better results when working with a full deck.

I would be doing nobody favors, but I hardly say it's a waste. At least the worms would love me =P

I like it. It was a very good poem. I respect the tone of it, yes, but we like you here, and not with the worms.
