Tails is an actual partner with his own look (fox), abilities (flying), and a nickname. Miles Prower/(perhour).

Simple question: An older brother with a very similar look who can jump. Or a separate character who is a fox with his own look who can fly and has a cool name that relates to his partner.

tails, he is invincible in every sonic game (when you dont play as him ) luigi on the other hand, is not. plus, when tails DOES die, he is quickely brought back to life, but luigi is not

Maybe it's because I never really liked Sonic or Tails that much (go Knuckles!) but I chose Luigi. He's not as awesome as Mario, but, he's a better sidekick than Fox is to Sonic (Luigi is cooler than Fox though).
