[Crono shall speak in first person for this, due to the fact that no other point of view can explain something better than first person.]
As the library recalls, it started about half a month ago, in late October where I was currently borrowing a series of Manga called "Hikaru no Go". I usually finished reading a book in like, 1 day. So to help my Manga reading pleasures, I borrowed 2 volumes a week. At about the first week of October, I had read 9 Volumes so far of the series. Sadly, I was they didn't have the 10th volume of the series(major let down, huh?). So, Crono goes onto MangaFox.com and begins reading the 10th volume(Yippie! ^w^). However, during that time, the point of me borrowing books from the library was to entertain myself from the boredom of my High School I am in(since I am lonely at lunch time, I read).
So, I head back to the library THIS WEEK, and go over looking for some epic Manga or something, since my library has poor selections anyways, and just sadly there was nothing to find. I head over to the science fiction novels as a last resort on novels. I for one, would look for a Halo novel or something related to that. However, I came across some X-files novel and read the back, said something about paranormal, so I took it(I loves me some paranormal stores, hee hee). As I reach the counter to check out the book I withdrew from the counter, the librarian who checks out your books, asks me for my card, I give it to him, he scans it, excreta. Before giving my card back, he says to me, "You are aware you have an overdue book, correct? Called "Lifelines"?(Lifeline's is the image of the book, I uploaded above.) As shocked as I was in hearing the word "Overdue", I said "Uh, no I do not recall ever borrowing a book called "Lifelines". He then says, "Are you sure? It's a graphic novel. If you are confident you didn't borrow this book, do you want to go upstairs and check out the log and try to clear this out, or you can go home and try to look for it, it's up to you." As you probably can't tell, I am desperate to go home and read this book and go on Vizzed. But, for the sake of my library record, I chose to go upstairs and talk about. I was sent to the farthest of the library, to this desk with some old lady sitting there. Guessing she is who I supposed to go to, I asked her "Excuse me, miss. I was told to come to check out this problem about my library record saying that I have an overdue book." She replies to me with "Here, let me have your card." She takes my card types in the card number and looks up my log of borrowed books. After about 5 minutes, she tells me "Yes, you took out back in October, 12th and it was due on November 3rd." I looked over to the shelf where I recently have been taking out Hikaru no Go graphic novels and she then says "Look here, I'll show you." She opens a new tab and shows me a picture of the paperback graphic novel. She then gives a nosy reply, "Doesn't this ring a bell?" At this moment, I was shocked once more. As ironic as this may sound, they are blaming me for the possession of the 10th volume of Hikaru no Go that I was looking for, so, as I remember, they DID NOT, have this book in there collection. I once again say, "I didn't even take this book, ma'am." She says, "Then, I'll look." She begins to head over to the shelf that olds all types of Manga, and where I obtained the previous novels of the series. After about 10 minutes of annoyance, silence, and wait, she returns saying "Okay, we do not have the book, but we can give you until November, 30th to return the book. Our books get mixed around so, we are in consideration of that." She then, gives me my card back, and as I stare at the computer with anger, I slowly turn around and say "Thank you, miss." At this moment, I would've been yelling but thanks to my management of anger, I refused to go through with this. So, I walk down the steps, leaving the book behind, walk out the library and head to catch the next train home.
As I am on my way home, I think about posting this story on Vizzed. At the station, I arrive and walk home. As soon, I came home, I begin posting this thread, and well, here I am now. This is in the "Café Corner / Girls N Guyz " forum, because I need advice on this problem. What should I do? My parents have no clue what's going on, they just say "Look for the book.", "Are you sure you didn't borrow it?", and "Do you have the receipt?" Uhh, news flash, how could I have a receipt of a book I didn't borrow! Anyways, as there is my question and hopefully I can get some feedback here. I looked everywhere, and I most certainly DO NOT have a receipt, as I have saved every OTHER receipt, until I return the book to the library. Thanks for reading![Switching back to third person]
Any feedback is appreciated for Crono's problem. Perhaps, some of you might have experienced this before, Crono has no clue.
