I've been feeling depressed a little lately, so I wrote again to feed off the negative emotion. Sorry if this is dark or unsettling, it's just what I tend to write these days. Maybe one day I will be able to write happy again

18 years in a cold dark world,
Where emotions are always rampant,
The heartless are far and widespread,
Their own selves being unforgiving.

They break our own hearts,
So we shall be as sad and cold as them,
It's their only way of proving to themselves,
That they still even exist to the world.

They tear out the hearts,
They crush our dreams,
They tell us what we hate to hear,
They stomp on our souls.

They do everything,
And anything,
To make us as miserable
As them.

The sad thing, is that it works,
We all eventually slide into the darkness,
Into despair, into misery, we fall,
We give our own hearts away, so we don't have to feel.

Feel the pain that comes with being miserable,
Feel the sting of being alone in the world,
The feeling of hopelessness and despair,
They creep over us like the impending week.

It's unavoidable, it will always catch us.
Time is no factor, because you can't keep it still,
In the end, it will always burden us,
And enslave us to it's almighty will.

The darkness consumes all,
The happiness, the light,
Everything it can and does see,
Because that's how it convinces itself

It convinces itself,
That through some miracle,
It has,
It's own existence as well.

I thought that was pretty good. Nice job, droog.

It made me think of well I do not know but that was awsome mabye I should start posting my older poetry on here to
