What are my comments on this? The 360 has the games I want to own. Games such as Oblivion, Bioware games (that havn't been on any other system) I don't think the 360 wants for games in any category. FF has never really held my interest i prefer Baulders gate for pc, or online games like Guildwars and WOW other than FF11.

The revolution sortof intrugues me. I think they are trying to stir up media coverage over thier new controller or whatever is revolutionary about thier new system. Mabey they should have all thier new controllers be kongas.... And you would have to use them in all the new games.

Sigh, The PS3 will offer power, I won't speculate on if it will be alot better than the 360 in terms of performance. They will cost a heckava lot though. I see the PS3 not doing half as well as sony's previous systems, while I see the psp competing with what nintendo has to offer in the handheld world.

I think the are over estimating the PSP. Especially once the DS gets to second gen stuff. I also think they forget who made the most profit last year. My sources say it was Nintendo. They could be wrong though. But really if you look at Xbox 360 and PS3 all they are promising is better graphics. Nintendo is trying something "different" I guess they have to discover the new stuff. And don't try to say they don't. First to use a d-pad? Nintendo. The N 64 brought the analog stick and rumble pack. The gameboy made the portable market. The NES is considered by some to be the savior of home consoles, because the Atari was putting out stuff like Pacman (not the arcade version) and ET. Pacman was sloppy and ET was unplayable.

Your saying Nintendo had the first directional pad? If you are then that is incorrect. First to use rumble? yes. First analog stick? Is the pad on the sega saturn controllers considered an anolog stick? Probably not but its just as good as one.

I really don't care about the gameboy making the portable market. Nintendo screwed thier customers when they made all those gameboys.

First Nintendo made the GBA with a crappy screen when they had much better things available. They just wanted to sell there system twice. They made it right with the sp. They just took advantage of controlling all the market. Nintedo made the Gameboy colors for under 2 dollars. Then sold them for 70$ Tell me if that isn't price gouging.

I'm not saying I'm anti nintendo. I always though the Genisis was better than the Snes... And I do enjoy playing GC more than Playing the PS2. The gamecube probably has more party games than the PS2 and the box put together. (doesn't have worms though) They have good games and have done much for the videogame industry. But shall we look at what they did wrong?

They made the Nintendo 64 a cartridge when almost all the game developers wanted them to go to a cd-rom format. THUS they lost the Mighty Mighty Final Fantasy Franchise to SONY and many other game developers. With the gamecube they also went with an Unorthadox game media. WHY? Because they wanted to be different and worried about people pirating thier games. They were alot smarter than Sony with thier two systems because they had four controller ports. But anyways the Gamecube media discs are more expensive to create and the technology in the GC was more expensive since they went with an original media format. The GC was not a flop but they have lost control of the mainsteam video game industry to sony and Microsoft. I do hope their new system is more sucessful. Why did Nintedo not come out with a good FPS on the GC anyways? OMG and the GC controllers are pretty horrible. Better than sony's but still not good. And don't get too offended I'm sure thier are people who like them... I think Nintendo needs to do better with thier marketing.

I do like the GC controllers a lot. But their marketing does need a bit of work. Who had the first D pad? I sorta got that from your article. Maybe they used it right first.

On the Gameboy subject you also have to figure that the technology has gotten better and cheaper as time has went by. And Nintendo picks every penny.
As far as proprietary discs go it doesn't really matter to me. As I thought I said according to my sources last year Nintendo had the highest profit.

Oh Nintendo does have an interesting looking shooter coming out next month I think. It's called Geist.

Well backlit screens have been around since say.... The gamegear? I have the NeoGeo pocket and that screen is much supieor to the GBA's screen. It also wasn't backlit. I had to burn my eyes out having to see the GBA's screen. Then with the addition of one little scratch it was almost worthless. OK it was still playable.

Yeah, but the Gameboy was cheap. That is why they went with a non backlit screen and plus the light in it can die. The whole GBA and SP thing was weird.

CHEAP = 2 $ to produce, ship, and put into stores in america.

I think it's a bit more than that. But next gen is more or less right around the corner. About a year at most. Going to be interesting. Esp to see the prices.
