A guilty pleasure is something one enjoys and considers pleasurable despite feeling guilty for enjoying it. Often, the 'guilt' involved is simply fear of others discovering one's embarrassing tastes, rather than actual moral guilt. Fashion, music and food (especially unhealthy foods high in fats and sugars) can be examples of guilty pleasures.

For me its food, I love ghee rich curries, tandoor grills and paratas (light flaky bread made of several paper thin layers enriched with butter). This food is literally a heart attack on a plate and makes any hamburger look like healthfood, at least that comes with salad and lean beef. Its no wonder that the average life expectancy of people that eat this stuff can be as low as a person from a developing country. Oh well, I did say it was my guilty pleasure.

Sometimes it's anime. I've been around people or worked with them that I knew would giggle if they knew I watched anime. It's not really a bad thing, but some people see anime weird or not grown-up. Nonetheless, I keep watching it.

I like to sing and dance when I'm alone at home. I like to learn songs from artists that aren't exactly mainstream and make dances for them(That I never remember). I do have a good time though. I rarely find the chance though but when I do, I am as giddy as a school girl. I like to think I can sing well but I wouldn't know without someone else's opinion which I can't get since I would be too embarrassed. Don't tell anyone!...END.

Nutella. Guiltiest of guilty pleasures. I can down a whole tub in a day.

I'm extremely gluttonous. I love food, any kind.
Specially things that have bread. Or meat. Or bread and meat.

Another sin I have is Extravagance.
I like to have nice things. I love to shop and buy whatever I like.
I'm not very good at saving money when I get any.

By your definition, I don't think I have any guilty pleasures. I can't think of anything that I do that actually makes me feel guilty.

I guess if I was to choose something, it would be the fact that, seeing as I'm a pretty lazy person in some respects, my trash tends to pile up. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a dirty or unhygenic person, I just don't want to make the trek down four flights of stairs and all the way over to the dumpster while carrying bags of trash. Right now, I have about 7 bags worth (I'm using shopping bags, like you'd get from Stop & Shop) in my room. Like I said, it's not dirty, nothing smells or anything, but it's still trash. I'm actually gonna take it all out tonight.

My guilty pleasure is making funny faces at the most inappropriate times online. If something is slightly funny, I will go out of my way to make the most awkward face possibl, because no one will see me. I also really like rickrolling people.

I'm going to have to go with hypermonkey, I don't have anything that makes me feel guilty so by definition I have no guilty pleasure.

I guess I could say scaring people. I love sneaking into a room and just scaring the &%^& out of people.

I don't have any guilty pleasures like Zam and hyp.

Usually if I ever do something I don't feel guilty doing it. I don't put myself in a position where that can happen.

xSnipSnipx : try going easy on the Nutella, if you keep it in the fridge it will become impossible to eat more than a few scoops, although I go through a similar thing with peanut butter. My favourite thing through is a pancake covered with nutella and chopped bananas,you get this all over italy and it is yum yum, nutela is from Italy too, and they also use it to make a spirit which I heard is yum, but please do not drink if you are under the age in your state.

When you say "adults only" in the description of the thread, were you expecting sexually related answers?

septembern : From the description at the start of the thread you can that this would be the last thing I would expect to be posted here. I just wondered whether children are capable of having a guilty pleasure as they are more Id in nature and may not have an overdeveloped sense of super ego that comes with development that could for example make one feel guilty just for having full fat milk on ones latte as opposed to skimmed.

I still keep many of my childhood pleasures: cartoons, comic books, video game. However, I don't really think these would fit the description of guilt pleasure, because everybody knows I like them them and no-one really cares. For instance, a few days ago a work colleague asked my opinion about her giving her 6 and 8 years old kids a PS3 (I told her to give them a wii), and one of the guys lend one of my games magazine. Even my bosses always knew I like those stuff, and It was never a problem for me. Maybe if I worked in another place - or lived in another country - they would be guilt pleasures. Or maybe not, since I live my live according to the philosophies "if you don't pay my bills and taxes, don't tell me what to do"

So, I can't think on a real guilt pleasure. I mean, I can think on many pleasures, but I don't feel guilt on any of them

I agree with Nutella. That stuff is amazingly addictive. I eat it straight out of the jar.

Laziness, I love just to do nothing and enjoy a good RPG rather than do my work, I´m 17 with a natural talent for maths and I got a brother who is 24 years old and is on the same math course as I am in college (he was a droppout but recently started going to school again) and watching him work so hard when I´m just laying about kinda makes me feel bad. He is the type of person I should be and I have the kind of talent he should have, he´s a thousand times more deserving than I am.

Also I like to be a tease at the expence of others, act like a kid and make silly remarks about people even when I don´t mean it I used to have to moderate a community much like this one (a smaller one but still) and sometimes I like to re-create situations I had to deal with myself in other communities cos I get a bit of pleasure out of seeing others handle that kind of situations.

And gluttony, I eat about 4 hamburgers a week, nearly everyday at my college I eat a hamburger, I´m 17 years old, about 170CM and 60KG and never see myself gaining any weight but I know this kind of food is bad for my health, yet I just can´t keep myself from a good burger and some fries, in fact I´m in school right now and a break is starting, and I´m going to buy a burger.

yeah, I really enjoy J-pop, and most other pop music in another language. Not sure what I enjoy so much about it.... maybe because I don't understand the lyrics so I just enjoy the musicality of it all.

Gerard Butler. I can't help staring at him and swooning every time he walks on the screen. He's number one on my list of sexiest movie stars.

Liam Neeson is another guilty pleasure. When he played Rob Roy I about died from his accent. I loooove Scottish men.

Then there's Mathew McFadyen, or better known as Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice. Well...he's Mr. Darcy. Enough said.

This prolly sounds bad since lots of people on here know that I'm engaged, but those three men are definitely guilty pleasures. I feel bad when I talk about them in front of Kerubi, but I do it anyway. I could literally stare at them all day. Well maybe not all day but for at least a few hours and that's horrible but I can't help it.

My guilty pleasure is that I love to eat salted butter by itself yeah it's weird but its so good.
