I have to agree. That member of the gun-ho-guns creeped me out.

Least favorite? Id have to say Ash from Pokemon...

well I have to say the two chicks from Trigun. They never do anything. It's really annoying.

In all of anime, I really hate ASH ketchum from Pokemon. I dont know if its considered anime, but taht guy just pisses me off.

Well, Pokemon isn't a very well-made anime, IMO. Most good animes have some good, unifying plots that drive the episodes. Pokemon is an anime with no plot that kind of stays static. Through 535 episodes, the characters don't age, and they never seem to mature, either. Plus, like I said, there's no overarching story. It's pretty much the same four or five episodes given new paint and recycled about a thousand times. Ash is especially annoying, and I think the reason he is so much so for a lot of fans is that he's exactly the same way now that he was nearly ten years ago when the series started.

Now, my least favorite anime character out of all that I've seen was probably Tsukasa from .hack/SIGN. He's got to be the most emotionally lukewarm character I have ever seen in a television show. He almost never smiles, but he never breaks down or gets angry, either. He just kind of walks around in a moping funk that's highly reminiscent of Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh. It wouldn't be as bad - in fact, it might even be comical - if his character was against a less somber storyline. But overall, the entire series takes itself very seriously...probably too seriously. Another irritating thing about Tsukasa, he always seemed to need to be rescued, which is inexcusable for a main anime protagonist. But could you really call him that? Most of the anime is spent coming from his point of view, but it's more like it revolves around him because everyone else involved seems to have dropped whatever they were doing to help him out whilst he sits back and does nothing but complain about how much his life sucks. And after the entire thing...he winds up not being a guy.

My second least favorite character, although I loved the series itself, would probably be Heero Yuy from Gundam Wing. I know that, as a rule, nearly every Gundam main hero is going to have emotional issues. But I always thought that Heero was a bit of an idiot. You get the impression from him that he wouldn't last very long in peacetime because fighting is absolutely all he seems to know how to do. On top of that, the way he handled Relena just got on my nerves. Obviously, you're a 16-year-old kid who's sent to assassinate a target. The target's a girl that's the same age you, nice-looking, and seemingly harmless. I might have been able to deal with him if he had admitted to himself that he was in love with her, even if he never actually told her. Instead, he takes off after every war and leaves her to figure it out by herself while he runs away into the sunset, secretly hoping that the two never establish contact again. I mean, I know he was supposed to be raised as a 'perfect soldier', but he was ateenage boy. I'd really have to applaud whoever raised him for finding a way to turn his hormones off. If someone like that existed, they'd be a hero to teenagers everywhere.

James from pokemon, he started cool from the start of the series but if you follow him you can see how petty and pathetic he really is.

Any character in a 4-kids dub.
Mostly because voices their are annoying.

(Except for Shaman King. That one wasn't bad.)

Hercule from DBZ. he always took credit for things he didnt do. it was so annoying that he was famous and all he did was be a coward

Hmmm... Kon from Bleach. He's annoying. All he can say is "Nii-san!!! Where is Nii-San!!!!!" He is too annoying.

The only thing not annoying about him is when he gets a strike of humor.

4. Luke from the Tales of the Abyss anime early on before his attitude shift...the guy seriously needed some massive rewiring.

It would take me about two seconds to arrive at this conclusion: Ash from Pokemon. Yeah, I know I couldn't get the accent mark, that is something for which I am deeply sorry.

But, then again, it doesn't really deserve to be written correctly. I mean, come on. The show had no bloody plot, and the characters were completely one dimensional! There was no deep meaning to any of the scenes, and the game-to-anime conversion errors were laughably bad.
And, frankly, Ash didn't make it any better. None of the writing (read "dubbing") made his character any more believable than anyone else on the show. So what if it's a show about fighting animals who live in balls that are bigger on the interior than the exterior; I want a set of characters in which I can become emotionally vested!

So, I've vented, and now I'm done.
