I personally loved the 90's... but that's the decade I really grew up in.

there was a lot of good music from the 80's... but there was even more bad music.... probably the worst decade for bad music. So many garbage bands and groups that made 1 or 2 songs that we all remember and then the rest of what they did was crap.

I chose modern. I mean... Overkill released their fantastic album Ironbound this year... Tons of great bands in the less popular sect of music are doing very good, and black metal is quite strong right now. Let's not forget... The band Slough Feg. For me, modern is coming out with amazing stuff if you look for it.
