We, the undersigned, respectfully submit this petition to SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD to redesign, remake, and utterly rebuild the title CHRONO TRIGGER, as well as to fully translate and release to the United States market the title SEIKEN DENSETSU 3, also known as SECRET OF MANA 2.

CHRONO TRIGGER
In recognition of the unprecedented success of the original CHRONO TRIGGER title, and in light of the tenth anniversary of its release, we request for the game to be remade for new audiences, as well as matured for its original audience. This includes:

Graphics
We request for the new CHRONO TRIGGER to fully utilize the potential of the chosen system for release, whether a current- or next-generation nonportable console. This includes such features as full 3D camera movement, as well as a more mature appearance of the characters. (We cite the designs of characters from FINAL FANTASY VIII as an example.) By removing the "cartoon look" and opting for a more realistic approach, we believe this extra level of detail and realism would be preferred among older gamers who played the original CHRONO TRIGGER when it was first released.

Sound
--Music
We request for the new CHRONO TRIGGER to feature re-arranged music, maintaining the original themes that became well-known to gamers in the original release, including the subtle readings of various characters' themes at key points during the story.
--Voices
We request for the new CHRONO TRIGGER to feature voice acting to further immerse the player in the epic story.

Story and Features
Knowing that the story of any game is pivotal to its success, we request that the new CHRONO TRIGGER maintain the former level of emotional quality in its story, as well as the former quantity of endings.
This also includes new features, "surprises," or "easter eggs" that were not present in the original game, such as involving the character of SCHALA more deeply in the storyline, possibly adding her as a playable character through some secret means, and possibly including the human form of the character FROG / GLENN as a playable character, also through some secret means.
Another example of maintaining the quality of the story and matching the maturity to that of gamers may include new sidequests such as having to fix time paradoxes created by the characters' changes to history. By delving deeper into the effects of time travel, this would also heighten appeal to the older audience.

SEIKEN DENSETSU 3 / SECRET OF MANA 2
If CHRONO TRIGGER's success was unprecedented, SEIKEN DENSETSU 3's was earthshattering. When word came about that the project to translate it into SECRET OF MANA 2 was cancelled, gamers were disappointed but moved on. When illegal ROMs and emulators began to surface in underground areas of the Internet, a private project to translate the game was begun immediately. It was successfully completed, and in record time.

Now, thousands of gamers have enjoyed SECRET OF MANA 2, albeit illegally. When a game which was never released to the United States holds its place solidly in the GameFAQs.com SNES Top 10, it is a true masterpiece. We therefore request for the SECRET OF MANA 2 project to be completed by SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD. This may perhaps be executed as a full remake in the same style as the CHRONO TRIGGER remake described above, or as a re-release as was done in the case of FINAL FANTASY V's Sony PlayStation version.
