I just found out that my grandma suffered what we think is a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital... Grandpa was in such bad shape over the phone that we are not even sure she was awake when the ambulance took her. She could really use some prayers right now.


Edit... we just found out that she was... without oxygen for too long... and they couldn't get her heart to start... she died...

We have learned that she is awake now or at least was. We still do not know much, but they had to knock her out and are transferring her to another hospital. At this time, the whole family is getting bags packed in case we need to go to her.

I didn't think this would get anymore replies. Grandpa died today. He wanted to be with Grandma. So, my family is going through really hard times, but I think we'll make it through it. It's hard... but pie helps and good friends.

The one good thing to think about is that it's not likely that she suffered very much or for long. Not the most peaceful way to go.... but it could have been worse.

I've lost 4 people I've known this year. Lost a girl I graduated with, an old teacher and now my grandparents... you would think I would be getting used to this.

I'm sorry about your loss. Both my grandmothers have died, one before I was born, and the other when I was 5. My great-grandmother outlived both of them and I try to stay in contact with her. She is a very loving person and gives me a view of what my grandmothers may have been like.
