Meh, she should go to jail. She was warned, but she did so anyway. And I don't believe substance abuse is a disease

yeah.... she needs help. Maybe being arrested and going to jail will help get her clean.

And if not maybe she'll get so high she dies next time. That'll learn her.

Thousands of other people do that every day why are they not in the news? Is she important? Not to me but apparently the media likes to think she is.

This is ridiculous. Send her to jail and this time not for 2 weeks.

Some how this is not surprising at all. Instead of Jail she needs to actually get caught with possession of illegal drugs and get sent to federal prison. She's just an idiot who should stop being arrogant and pampered.

I've been following this on In Session (my personal drug of choice, lol), and this girl has been given more chances than your average person would have gotten. She showed up late to numerous court dates, which would normally get you a bench warrant after a while.

She skipped out on mandated counseling because she 'had' to go to Cannes Film Festival, where she managed to lose her passport and missed a mandated court hearing.

She was given an ankle monitor and was told not to drink. It went off.

She was going to be sent to jail for 90 days and then to inhouse alcohol and drug counseling for 90 days. She was let out of jail early - eh - but then they went and got her pulled out of the inhouse alcohol and drug counseling.

Personally, I think she needs a full 90 days inhouse. She's young enough that she has a chance to turn her life around, but all of her hanger-ons are simply enabling the behavior: Lindsay, come to this party! Lindsay, let's have fun! - only the fun always involves some kind of recreational drug use.

I'm more amazed by the fact that she seems so surprised that people (judges) have a problem with her behavior. If you saw her face when she got the 90/90 sentence, it looked like she was completely shocked that she was being reprimanded.

cult of the celebrity.... they have money so they think they can do whatever they want... and the public sits around and watches.

I'm tired of it. Give her some hefty fines and send her stupid ass to jail.... and don't see cameras along with her.

I agree. (Especially about the no cameras bit) This has gone on for far to long. I have cousins who have gone to jail for drug use, and not one of them was given the multiple second chances that this girl has received. She needs to grow up and learn that in the real world there are consequences for breaking the rules.

Yeah this isn't the first time she's been arrested or tried before. That girl needs some serious help...Fast!

You what I find hilarious about all this? In Machete (which came out recently) she plays a daughter who is a druggie.

Ha ha.. She probably says that she used her life experience to get into the role. Oh hey look! We have another excuse! Let's see what else she can come up with.

Ha... I say that she's tired and washed up before the age of 25 and she's just taking whatever film roles that she can get. I mean, since she's turned 21 she's not really had any great movie roles. Personally she's not that great of an actress. Honestly I think the drug use is a cry for attention. Because honestly, how many of us would even care about what is happening in her life if it wasn't for the drugs and alcohol?

I still don't care what goes on in her life. Or any celebrity for that matter. Drugs or not.

Cyro Xero : I think one thing that makes people jump all over this more than others is the fact that she's one of those 'wholesome young actresses' that Disney studios skyrocketed to fame, much like people jumped all over Mylie Cyrus's photo-shoot not too long ago.

Yes... and her "downfall" gets everyone all hyped up because of the fact that she used to be so wholesome... I mean.. people talk about Lady Gaga and her utter weirdness all the time, but they don't treat her obscenities like they do Miley Cyrus or Lindsay Lohan. Simply because they don't expect any better from her. It's like the media puts too high of a standard on these tween queens and when they can't meet these standards, everyone has to b**** about it.

I personally don't care one way or the other about these celebrities and their "oh-so-tragic" problems, but I do have three young nieces who absolutely adore Miley Cyrus, and if she ends up being another Lindsay Lohan, it will affect their lives. Whether we like it or not, Hollywood does influence our families and personal lives more than we'd like to admit. Even if we ourselves do not buy into all of their crap, we're still affected by it.

I'm a big fan of lindsay lohans. always have been since she first made herself popular in the movie The Parent trap. However, that doesn't exclude her bad choices and actions.Just like any other person...if she was caught by the law doing something illegal...in this case it's drug possession ONCE again...then she should have to suffer the same consequences. I don't care how famous or rich she is or thinks she is.....

It's sad that the general pulic and the mainstream media pay so much attention to these bottom feeders. Sadder that people out there admire people like this and get so fanatical about it.

Bah, this isn't surprising. Lohan is always doing something bad and/or stupid. She stopped being good at acting after The Parent Trap, and now she's a dope fiend, wtf.
