Try swapping that down to AVG free.
If the PC is still slow then try Avast or Avira.
If it's STILL slow try Microsoft anti virus.
If it's still slow then you'll have to put up with it, because anything else is probably not going to protect you at all.

I also recommend MalwareBytes as something to run like once a month (in addition to whatever memory-resident antivirus you have). It is also free, and picks up a lot of things that antivirus programs might miss. (Google it to find a mirror near you!)
