Alrighty...

I recently tried out a Rom of Pokemon Fire Red for VBA on the PC. I was able to use cheats (yay!) but to my chagrin could not get rid of them. Even after I removed them from my cheat list they were still active in-game. Is it the ROM being a b**** or I am doing something wrong? I've never gotten cheats to work before (I primarily use a Mac) so this is a new experience for me. Please help?

I suspect you use save states to save on the PC VBA, yes?
Anyway, this is part of the reason the codes are still active.
Load your game up, go into the cheat menu, select all the cheats and click the disable button.
Exit and then save your game again and that should be that.

Also, if you are using VBA, you might be getting the 1m sub circuit/saving error, PM me for details of how to get rid of it
