I with you KlawedFlaw...if anyone here thinks that this gov't is a good one, go and visit prisonplanet.com. There's a guy named Alex Jones who is leading a movement to get the masses TRULY educated on these issues. He exposes the "Puppet Politics" that our so called gov't is involved in. We have to get over our differences, because they're using them to control us. They actually control the rise and fall of the economy!! This recession is no coincidence, this is "their" plan. And it all benefits them! If no one notices, we are being extorted every pay period by the gov't....and it's to pay back a debt that they have accumulated. Don't get it twisted, the federal reserve is a private bank, not ran by the united states gov't. And past wars are the reason they owe the federal reserve....so we are basically paying for the past deaths of our and other countries citizens all over the world, again for "THEIR" benefit.
It's believed that our time is coming. Obviously they don't care if we die, THEY'LL KILL US TO GET WHAT THEY WANT!!! And that's exactly what they'll do if we don't stop them NOW!! but WE MUST COME TOGETHER AS ONE. WE ALMOST DID IT WHEN 9/11 OCCURED....until they placed another popular puppet in front of us...and we all ate it up! I included.
I'm just upset that the legacy of the first black president is a sham....BECAUSE ALL PRESIDENTS ARE PUPPETS!! ALL REAL PRESIDENTS THAT WERE FOR CHANGE, WERE MURDERED BY OUR OWN GOV'T. Same thing with entertainers who had influence over the masses, who spoke of change...... may Lincoln, Tupac, Kennedy, and Micheal Jackson rest in peace!

[sigh]

more shadow government conspiracy stuff... they'll kill us to get what they want.... come on.

If you listen to a lie enough times eventually you will start believing it. Try not listening to Alex Jones for a month and you won't see a conspiracy around every corner.

Oh gosh, conspiracy crap. I've heard of Alex Jones, the guy is a nut. Bush and the government did not plan out 9 11, Lincoln and Kennedy were killed by a communist and a confederate spy, and Michael Jackson had an overdose, and Tupac was just crazy.

I don't know about the whole shadow government conspiracies, but I would say that democracy is quickly becoming a plutocracy in America. Also I don't think its a good thing that politicians accept campaign "contributions".

mrhoodrock : If memory serves me Jones appeared periodically during the first season of Jesse Ventura’s Conspiracy Theory. I think that Ventura’s show is a real eye opener to people who are not informed on certain issues and I think that it’s good that there is a show that provides an unbiased look at issues that also shows evidence of conspiracies.

The episode they did on HAARP in particular scared me… I just hope that eventually those who talk of conspiracies will be able to produce enough legitimate evidence that it could eventually change people’s perceptions on certain issues.

The current employment crisis I believe is something that should be addressed. I live in a state with a near double digit unemployment rate and despite the good that has been said to have come from the economic stimulus’ it seems more and more like if people want to make a decent living the answer is to move out of state.

I've heard many conspiracies, but the 9 11 conspiracy is what really annoyed me, partly because there is no logic in it. The government wasn't trying to kill us, but now I think about more.

Hoochman :
I know how conspiracies can get under people’s skin but in the case of what Jesse Ventura does with his show it actually makes you think about things. The episode on 9/11 that they did scared me frankly because of what they were able to show in regard to certain paint that was used at the world trade center and how this particular paint burned at a significantly higher level than what is considered normal material. Conspiracies don’t bother me much as long as those who believe that something isn’t right produce enough evidence to make people think twice rather than talking for the mere sake of talking.

If you haven’t seen Jesse Ventura’s show I recommend checking it out.

bvd1022 : I admit, I get startled at how convincing these things sounds. So the paint burns at higher levels. Most materials are highly flammable. That is still little evidence.

Hoochman :
Well if I remember correctly they conducted a test on the type of paint that was used in the world trade center and the type of paint that was used burnt a type of material used to construct the building. Ventura also gave his opinion on what he thought might have happened and referred to it as a “False Flag Operation”. Ventura also went one on one with a government agent who didn’t seem too keen on answering any of Ventura’s questions and seemed to be avoiding what Ventura wanted answered.

It was similar to another episode where Ventura confronted the head of Infraguard in relation to the “Big Brother” conspiracy. I don’t know whether or not any of this is true but it did give me the impression that there was just too much information in the topics that they covered for it to be merely jaw whacking.

In either case I find the program interesting and informative.

I think that because of the way the party system is, that our politics are much too biased and those without political bias usually won't obtain a higher office because their voice will not be heard often by the people. The Tea Party (which isn't actually a political "party") has changed that a little, in my opinion, but going Independent usually won't get you far. I am neither a Democrat or a Republican, and will try to vote for those who I feel deserve my vote, instead of who will benefit me or coincides with my views the most.

supernerd117 : I don’t know whether the tea party is really a good thing because its link to the Republican Party has opened the republicans to far more scrutiny than usual. I don’t necessarily agree that those who run independently won’t get far. Jesse Ventura destroyed that theory no pun intended. I am a little curious to see what happens in a couple of weeks here in Florida to see if Governor Charlie Crist, a longtime Republican now independent in his bid for US Senate.

I am curious but I am not probably not going to vote because there doesn’t seem to be a lesser of evils this time at least down here in Florida. I grew up idolizing George Carlin and even emulate his style in my writing and more and more what he use to say about politics and elections is starting to make sense.

Like my idol, I prefer to analyze from a far and have an unbiased opinion rather than to potentially be forced to admit that I may have voted for the wrong candidate who might have gotten into office and make things worse.

In the words of my idol, “People say if you don’t vote you have no right to complain but where’s the logic in that? If you vote and, you elect dishonest, incompetent people and they get into office and screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done. You voted them in, I on the other hand; who did not vote, who did not even leave the house on Election Day am by no way responsible for the mess that you (The Voter) have created and, I can therefore complain all I want.”

Obviously there will be some that will discredit Carlin’s rhetoric as being from merely a comedic humorist but I believe that the man was a visionary and if not everything he said endlessly for years about the system in this country breaking down has not completely come to fruition I think it’s certainly getting there if the bleeding is not stopped.

The tea party isn't made up of republicans, they support conservative values which is far apart from what most republicans are these days. The only reason they're drawing scrutiny is because they wont blindly support the policies of our current government.

Hoochman : Well that could be both good and bad depending on one’s point of view. I know that in the last couple of weeks I have heard some stuff about Christine O’Donnell that started circulating from Bill Maher and it made me start thinking that perhaps part of the criticism that the tea party faces is due in part to the backgrounds of those who are representing the fringe upstart if not a recognized third political faction.

I prefer to give someone a chance and see where it goes rather than to just outright discredit and dismiss someone based purely on their background. I realize as I say that, that there are people in both recognized parties who do not think that way and just automatically look for things that stick out like a red flag in order to garner positive attention on what they are trying to do politically.

I do know that there was a debate tonight between the two people running for governor down in here in Florida and the one thing that stuck out to me that is a main focal point down here is that Rick Scott the republican nominee said that his purpose is to put the people of Florida back to work but then, contradicted himself by saying that he will reduce the workforce by a certain percentage.

I do not know what the main issues are in my home state of New York but I do know that down here the unemployment rate is at a double digit and people are getting fed up with it so I think Scott did more of a disservice to himself by saying his goal will be to put people back to work here in Florida then immediately say he will reduce the workforce which in essence will only grow the employment deficit.
