Ok so I'm having a dilemma lately. I reeaaaaallly love the Kingdom Hearts series and the new game, Birth by Sleep just came out yesterday. Problem is, Its for the psp. I currently dont have a PsP. So do you think that it would be worth it for me to get the psp just to play bbs? If so, can you suggest some other good games for the psp? If not, tell me why.

Well, I think most gaming consoles aren't worth the money anymore. You spend several hundred dollars for something that on it's own does basically nothing.... and then you spend $60+ on each new game you wanna play. Waste of money in my opinion. But I'm also not excited by gaming anymore.

If Kingdom Hearts is a game you really love then I say go for it...

Check out reviews, play a demo, and then decide. Don't buy a PSP and then the game blindly. I have a PSP and I wish I didn't. It really wasn't worth it. It's like a PS2 but portable and everything is watered down. Besides, is that game even part of the main canon? Usually I don't bother with games like that, especially when they're exclusively on the PSP.

Now that I look back on the classic consoles I don't think it was worth it. Of course at the time it was and that's because it was all everyone had.

Its a prequel. And I've already decided I need the game. but I don't want to buy the PSP for it. So maybe I should rephrase, what games are good on the psp other than KH. And Why?

check on line for used ones that may help, but even then i would make sure there are at bare minimum 2 games you want for it before you spend any money.
the alternative would be just to download the emulator off the interwebs.

Go for it if it's a series you really like, I know I would.

Wait, it's a prequel? How? Sora didn't do anything before he had the keyblade, just bummed around on an island and went to school like a normal kid. It's not some school sim is it? LOL I didn't know it was out yet! I already have a PSP, and I think it's worth it. I still replay games that I bought years ago, now and then. Plus, PSPs today are about half the price of when I bought mine, LOL All the games I have for PSP are either turn based RPG, tactics, or hack n slash, so I can't really recommend any games, I don't really know any that are like KH or zelda or anything, but if you like Final Fantasy a lot, and enjoy tactics games, I really recommend getting Final Fantasy tactics for the PSP. It was great on playstation, but on the PSP they added so much bonus content and levels and characters it's great. But, it's years old, so you probably wouldn't be able to find it. All the games I have are from more than 3 years ago, so I can't really recommend any that would be in stores now. Sorry! I do think getting a PSP can be worth it, but you have to make it worth it by investing even more money into good games.

Sure, if you love the Kingdom Hearts series then by all means buy a PSP to play it. If it were me I would like to play God of War games on the PSP mainly because I'm a fan of the God of War series. I don't now why anyone would stop you for buying something that your a big fan of, just let your instincts make the decision.

Get the PSP. Get a bundle, possibly MGS Peace Walker. If you get a bundle, you spend $20USD more, but get a game, memory stick(needed for saves), a movie (on UMD or voucher), etc..

Also, don't get the Go. Do. Not. No KH for you if you get it, plus it sucks. Trust me, I'm a doctor.

As long as you have the financial resources to do so I don’t see a problem with indulging yourself with a present for yourself. I myself brought a five disc DVD changer with just about every feature you could think of including HD Up conversion among other things for myself for Christmas last year. I figured for the price it was too good of a deal to pass up and it has worked as advertised.

As for gaming the only thing I have on my agenda is getting my PS3 back up and running. There are a few sports games coming out from what I’ve read that I would normally try to snag if my PS3 were working normally. In any case I don’t see a problem in buying a PSP if you have the resources to do so.

there are many good games on the PsP like monster hunter(all of them for PsP) and the ability to buy some old PS1 games,movies,apps,psp exclusive games but buying the PsP for just the game would sorta be a waste. maybe you could wait until a few more good games come out for it and then buy it or if your in a financially bad situation right now then you could wait until they possibly make a remake for some other system and then get the PsP when your in a financially better position.

I can't really help you out with other games for the PSP. After I get Birth By Sleep I'm only going to have three PSP games, one of which I hate (*cough* Dissidia Final Fantasy *cough*). I did enjoy playing Crisis Core on the PSP but other than those two games, not a lot of gaming on the PSP.

I will say the system itself is good to have just for the simple fact that it's grpahics are decent and it's portable.

D1998 : I have all the games except BBS, I have most of the soundtracks for each game, I'm in the middle of a big project in drawing/coloring Sora. I'm also planning on making my on keyblade. So XP
