This is a story I came up with mostly.The main plot of the story is a song called Creepy doll by Jonathan Coulton I just expanded the story. Please don't bash me to badly thanks. Also it took me like 4 hours to get done with and I'm just an ammeter writer.


Creepy Doll
based on the song by Jonathan Coulton


Winston is a very kind man, a very rich, and a very famous man. He is one of the worlds best selling novelist rite up there with his idol Stephen king. Winston once met his idol and he asked him how he got inspired to write all those horror stories.

Stephen said, "The first thing I usually do is find a creepy place to seclude myself and the ideas just come to me."

Winston wants to write a horror story and he remembered what Stephen said to him that day, so he talked to his assistant and told him to find a secluded creepy place he could stay for a while. Well not two weeks after this Winston's assistant called him and told him about a very creepy old house
in the middle of nowhere, Winston told his assistant to purchase the house rite away, so his assistant did and a few days later Winston was on his way to the house.

Winston decided to go without telling anyone but his assistant so he could concentrate as best he could. While he was driving to the house he went through a small town and he saw an antiques store and thought it might help him with his book, but he wanted to see the house first. Later in the evening Winston reached the house he got out of his car and took a look around and said to him self, "This is perfect I love it just love it!"

When he stepped into the door he saw a fire place with a chair in front of it and two logs in the log holder with some ash underneath it. He then walked into the kitchen and there were two candle sticks next to a candle holder and a box of matches, and also there was a gas stove, on top of the stove there was a note that said

Dear Winston,
I have managed to find this stove for you if you want to cook while your here at this house, but the only down side is there is no electricity in this house so no refrigerator. I guess if you want to eat then you will have to go into town. I have taken liberty to leave you with $4,000 dollars because we dont how long it will take you to get your big idea.Also you have a bed up stairs.it's nothing special just a twin box spring bed and also various toiletries.I hope you enjoy your stay.

After Winston was done reading the note he went into the living room and started a fire in the fire place because it was getting dark. When he got the fire started he sat down in the chair and fell asleep.Several hours late he awoke to a strange noise coming from the upstairs, so he riffled around in his bag and found a flashlight. Now Winston headed up the stairs and there was the door.He took a deep breath and opened the door. He saw something moving just a little ways past the doorway. He had felt some thing he knew that he felt some where before when he got to what he saw moving. It was a small doll with a ruined eye,tattered dress and cute small mouth he examined the doll and decided he was dreaming.

In the morning he woke up got dressed and decided to go to that antiques store he saw in town, and got get some groceries. When he got to the the antiques store he noticed a really nice looking wooden box in the show case near the cash register. Winston asked the old man running the store if he could see the interior of the box. In the silence of the store Winston could hear the old mans bones creaking as he slowly handed over the box.The old man also handed him a tarnished silver key, and when Winston saw what was on the key he was astonished and said to the old man, "M...mm...my...name...is on that key!"

The old man replied "well sonny if you want i could let you have it maybe its a family heirloom or something."

"Where did you get that box mister?", asked Winston.

"well" said the old man, "I got this old thing about twenty years a go from a house about ten miles out of town in the woods."

Winston hesitated for a moment and decided to take the box from the old man he headed home soon after he accepted the box. When he got home he unloaded his car and he threw the box onto the kitchen table and decided to make a snack because he was hungry, and while he was making his snack the doll walked up behind him and said in a very sweet voice,"Can I have one to mister?"

Winston turned around really quickly and saw the doll standing there smiling sweetly and it said again, "Can I have one to mister?"

Winston closed his eyes and said, "Your not real,Your not real,Your not real!"
When he opened his eyes the doll was gone and he finished making his snack trying to shake off the felling the doll was watching him. Later that night he headed up stairs to go to bed, and when he got to his bedroom he saw the doll waiting in the bed for him. He closed his eyes and said again,"Your not real,your not real,your not real,your not real!"

When he opened his eyes the doll was gone again so he climbed into his bed and tried to sleep. He awoke screaming because he had a bad dream about the doll, so he went down stairs to calm down and make some tea to help him get back to sleep.when his tea was finished he put some honey in to it, and the doll walked into the kitchen and asked," Do you really need that much honey?"

This time Winston was feed up with the doll so he unlocked the wooden box and grabbed the doll and placed it inside the box as he closed the box the doll said, "Hey what did I ever do to you!"

Then he runs into the living room and over to the fire place when he looks he noticed there was no wood, so he runs to his bag and grabs it and runs back in to the living room he throws the bag of money in to the fire place and sets it on fire. Its very smokey in the room now and he trows the box in next to his bag of money, and laughed maniacally as he heard the doll screaming. As the smoke filled up the room Winston looked at the fire place one more time and his laughing turned into crying when he saw that the doll wasn't the one inside the box it was him.
