ok. this is a conversation that wheresthegoodpokemon and i had over private messages. it was suggested that i make it into a thread, and i agree. so here it is. think about all the points and give me ur opinion.

Technically speaking , I'm scared of what the fifth generation would bring , it may very well destroy the true meaning of being a poke'mon player and the good feel that there is in being a poke'mon player, all that meaning might very well be gone if and when they come out if you understand what I'm saying!

yeah I get it too but the best way to confirm our fears is to wait until the release day comes and then look at a walkthrough on youtube first just to see how bad it really is so that way you have stopped yourself from feeling sorry about having bought it if it really was a failure which is what I fear it will be (No Offence)as I can't see it being better than the previous versions or as you had said being a turning point in the franchise , but one thing that would cause a turning point in the franchise that in which I would welcome would be DS remakes to Ruby , Sapphire , Emerald and FireRed and LeafGreen at least DS remakes of GBA games would be promised to be a success

oh definitly!! on both points. more so on the remakes!! now THAT would be awesome. i though for sure that would come before a 5th gen triad. btw, any guess what the third game color would be? i'd like to say grey, but that'd be just a dull silver....

One of the creaters said that they were going to try and get back to the basics and try and make it feel like Red and Blue again. they are doing this by starting the routes off again at 1 and having nothing but new pokemon till you beat the elite 4. also it was also rumored earlier that BW wouldnt even be about getting badges at all. it would be about mining and that would be lame. but that isnt true so dont worry. i think that they are running out of ideas. they already made a god pokemon so they cant make to much more. i belieive they are going to go up to a remake of DP then stop. this will mean 5th gen then remake of RS then 6th gen then remake of DP and maybe a 7th gen but i think they will stop there.

Well, I think it's weird that he said that the good Pokemon Games were... well... all the Pokemon games. I'm actually sort of excited for Generation 5.

Ok i dont want to offend the guy who said blue yellow red fire red and leaf green are the best just most people liked the 2nd gen the best im one of those people i found the first gen pokemoon not all but some quite boring looking

zerobeat38 : lol. yeah, some of them were, but then some of the 2nd gen pokemon were kinda boring looking themselves. on top of that, i've heard that some of the 3rd and 4th gen pokemon look like distorted replicas of digimon! i haven't made any connections, but i'm still looking.

True, I like the second generation the best but maybe it was because the second generation was the earliest one I can remember or maybe it has something to do with the nostalgic feeling I get when I play pkmn Crystal which was my first pokemon game I played.

It's true that my favorite games are the older ones, but I do like to try the newer ones. I just hope they put in a few more fire Pokemon this time. I had a devil of a time in gen 4 trying to find something other then ponyta or chimchar. IN the end I just traded with myself and got a charmander through firered. I did it again for Pokemon platinum, but next time I play I am going to try a houndour.

I grew out of the anime a long time ago, but the main series of games is still worth playing.
