With the rise of the Tea Party Movement, and the constant tension between Democrats, Conservatives, Republicans, and other social and political parties, it begs the question will this tension build up into a civil war. I mean we can't say it won't but, isn't it a possibility it could happen.

I don't think it's likely to be a full fledged civil war.

What I personally do see is a backlash by the states against the federal government. The federal government seems to be slowly growing in it's power and influence and I think the only recourse most people see at this point is to use the state governments power to fight back. I don't think the problem can be fixed or fought at a federal level anymore. It's too entrenched on both sides. I could see it becoming so bad that some states even attempt to leave the country and become their own "country" of sorts.... or even a group of states doing that.

I don't think it will be as huge as our first civil war, but it is going to happen in some form. It will be enough to throw the country off-balance for a while, however. The possibility of succession is real. Most of the military and intelligence agencies will be against the national government.

Politics is all a game. Being the President is so alluring because what status symbol is greater than that? The people in the government are nowhere near as tense as most Americans tend to assume. Besides, there's already two wars that we're in that few still want a part in. If we don't want to send troops overseas, how would we feel about fighting each other here? Frankly, Americans are too uninformed to do much of anything (outside of creating the Tea Party). It's not good ideas or well conceived arguments that made the Tea Party last this long, it's that anger and ignorance to what is actually happening in this country are easily exploited. A civil war would require too much effort and real awareness to happen at this time. Remember, you can boil a frog gradually and he won't even know what hit him.
