I don't know if this is old news to you lot but to me it is new there is going to be a new worldwide release for the Dreamcast, a game made by TGMods called Hypertension.

The game will be a sequel to the 1997 PC release Blood, it is a FPS built using the Hyper3dge engine (A modified version of the Doom engine).

Apparently it features some RPG elements, tons of weapons and enemies from Blood, the story spans more than a century, two characters to choose from and co-op mode.

vizwiz123 : I was talking mostly about the younger gamers, who complain about graphics on the SNES. I also prefer a Dreamcast over any of those, but those 7-13 year olds don't. I'm just assuming that they would hate on it because of the graphics or the gameplay.

are you sure this is real? i haven't seen any where on the TV that its real, plus if they do it, Sega will loose their deal with Nintendo and Sony for having their games published on their systems.

If it's for real, then it's probably a freeware game, kind of like the Halo remake on the Atari2600. However, if they stand to make money from it, there may be copyright issues.

Sega stopped releasing officially licenced games for the Dreamcast in 2008 in Japan and 2004 everywhere else so this game will not be licenced by SEGA but is still allowed to be released as an unofficial release.

Production has slowed though last year there were only about three releases I don't know about in Japan though.

Redspot are in talks with other publishers to port over some well known PC games but whether that happens is another story.
