Saddam had absolutely no ties to what happened on 9/11 and posed NO threat to the American people.

We simply have no reason to be there AT ALL.

OK, I obviously can't get you to see like I see at all, but I don't think that if we just let people do this stuff then we are the better people..

Because we have had issues with suddam and contact with him as well that would give us reason to believe that he was in league with those in the attack and thathe had disastrous weapons..I can't see how people can just look in the other way,

Mistermog, you're worried about us not doing anything to prevent another terrorist attack? Here's an idea. Now, rewind 2 years. We don't invade Iraq and instead imposte UN sanctions on Iran, Syria, and North Korea. They disarm and are no longer a threat. While this process is going on, we have a full and independent investigation into 9/11. Now, Bush and his administration opposed this 9/11 Commission from the beginning, only when it was passed by the Senate did he allow it. But only after making it a rule that HE had to choose the chairmman. His administration continued to withhold documents that were subpoened by the commission. Condi Rice refused time and time again to testify under oath, but eventually was forced. What do these guys have to hide? If we had an independed commission we might have found out. Instead we got more insider propoganda (I stole and actually used your word correctly John).

After this investigation was complete, we should have immediately passed each and all of their regulations in to law. This would have quickly allowed security measures to be put in place to allow our government to step up to prevent another attack.

Sound familiar?

And then attacks us. A little far fetched? I think not.

Saddam was a jerk, but only in personal affairs. He wasn't that bad to his people as a whole. They had power, internet, and cable TV. They weren't bad off, mainly because of oil profits.
