I'm a huge fan of the Castlevania series, so while it seems that they were aiming at a nostalgic experience with the game, it doesn't offer anything more than that.

It seems to me that it's just an upgraded Atari Donkey Kong style of Castlevania. I think the game was a wasted effort for me. What do you think? Was it at all mildly entertaining for you?

I'm a big fan of the Csatlevania series as well but I certainly did not like Castlevania: Harmony of Despair! And the 'Angry Video game Nerd' said it best... "What were they thinking!?"

I myself also love Castlevania! Even though it's true that Harmony of Despair wasn't as good as i thought it would be. First of all.. it's really short. Second, getting spells is harder than before. Third, the layout is different and it gives me headaches sometimes. But when i think about it... it was either for multiplayer purposes or it was to keep us interested in "Lords of Shadow". And at least Harmony of Despair is a side scroller. I got it anyways because i'm a sucker for Castlevania... except Judgment.

It wasn't as good as the other games. I'm not a huge Castlevania fan, but the games are pretty good, this one was just... Bad.
