~ Fire In The Fog ~

Warmth sprayed through misty leaves.
birds splashed, in cramped forest quarters.
those listening laughed.
it echoed behind me, beyond me,
as smoke fled upward,
to the face of a sneezing sun
the dust rose in the dawn.

I stood in wonder,
confused by the crowd,
the laughter in the choking air,
how they all seemed so aware
of what was coming,
what started the fire in the fog.

Warmth sprayed into every-what.

in cramped forest quarters.
those listening laughed.
first angrily, then behind me.
beyond me as smoke fled upward,
to the face of a sneezing sun.
what fires in the fog,
had the mountain-men begun?

Me the coward in wonder.
confused by the crowd.
the laughter in the choking air.
how they all seemed so aware.

On paper wings they hold the air
and whisper voiceless in their passage.
Wheel and dart they brush my hair
as though to call to me.

On bleak blue skies the shape of night
their movements make the seconds age
grow old inside me with their flight
noiseless o’er the sea.

With quiet motions I spread my arms
smooth the wrinkles, caress each fold
hearing paper’s crackled alarms
as night envelopes me.

Once I turn and look at you.
To see you stand, your eyes so cold
releases me to fall with dew
noiseless o’er the sea.

Yes I don't know why though I posted some topics and played no games even though they are free and I have 7,389 now I have 7,312 am not sure how am losing Viz I posted a short topic today but I know you lose Viz am not sure how I lost the rest.

The garden of eden, was made
By God,Adam, the first man, to ever
trod.

Beautiful trees, and plants
grew there,
Adam was happy, without a
care.

Tree of Life, and Knowledge
too,
Planted, in the garden grew.

The tree of Knowledge, God
forbid,
Do not touch, or he would rid.

A lost paradise would occur,
A magic kingdom, all a blur.

One day when Adam fell asleep,
God took a rib, made Eve so
sweet.

Satan came in form of a snake,
Tempted Eve, for goodness sake.

She ate the apple ripe and red,
gave it to Adam, Adam was fed.

A paradise was lost that day,
A working life began this way
