One of my favorite video game music comes from the 8-bit generation on the NES on the game "Heavy Barrel" I know it's 8-bit music but at its best!

I virtually like anything in Zelda, Final Fantasy(or some JRPGs), Metroid, Sonic and most other works by the composers of those series. It's kind of hard to choose a favorite, but here's a few I guess.

Dancing Mad from FFVI by Nobuo Uematsu. It's too long to be a Youtube vid, so go look it up yourself if you don't know it I love the Organ part for this song. It sounds so epic!

Midna's Lament from Twilight Princess by Koji Kondo. Since SilvaGunner's TP video was kind of bad in terms of quality, I found this Brawl sample instead. This song is just so melancholic.

Mother Brain from Super Metroid by Kenji Yamamoto. This song is really memorable because it was from that iconic scene with the Metroid and Mother Brain.

Hero's Theme from Final Fantasy Tactics by Hitoshi Sakimoto. I really liked the version from the enhanced port War of the Lions, but it's just so short. I wish there was a mini album with the remade songs that was in WotL, because I liked the new arrangements.

Final Boss Theme of Sonic 3 by Jun Senoue. Sonic 3(and Knuckles) is one of my favorite games of all time. The final boss theme(not Doomsday Zone), is one of my favorite songs in video game music. There's also a great metal remix and OCremix.

I love how there's a woodwind instrument playing the melody, and a cello (string thing )
playing the bass part, and on the second refrain, the strings go REALLY high and play the melody, while the woodwinds play 3 beats: 2+3+4.

If you understood that, now you can enjoy the song to it's fullest.

my favorite video game music would have to be from my all time favorite game Final Fantasy 8, i like all the melodies in the game especially the love or romance kind of songs. i also love the kingdom hearts songs too

My favorite video game music is in Zelda Ocarina of Time. I believe it's called the Song of Storms.....inside the windmill there's a guy playing the song on an accordion or some instrument. I like the melody...

I would have to say I like the battle music for Red/Lance in Pokemon HG & SS it's totally awesome when I here this song I Crank up the volume as high as possible,hold my headphones hard,and forget life.

I like all Zelda music, but mainly The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time music. From that game, my favorite is (I believe) the Lost Wood's song.

I love the Music from Tetris. Think it sounds cool.

I'm going to have to go with Mario music.
