My boyfriend missed catching a blue Swinub because he had his Noctowl at the front of the party. His Noctowl got a critical hit on the Swinub and fainted it.

One thing that severely ticked me off was a shiney I saw at the beginning of Ruby. You know that Poocheyanna you see at the beginning of the game that you have to faint? Well that thing was shiney. I wanted to put the game through a shredder.

Oh yeah big time, I once missed cathcing a shiney Wingull while surfing across a town in Pokemon, I was just tired of Pokemon popping up and I already had a Wingull but this one was different color, not paying attention though I hit 'Run' and escaped to safety. Dumb move but it was just a shiney Wingull.

I missed a Wingull too in the emerald version he was white and the stripes which are supposed to be blue were green. I found him in the grass where you battle may for the first time.

I missed a shiny geodude in LeafGreen. I was out of pokeballs so I just sat there and stared at it like "crap...". But, I did get my vengeance! On my diamond game, I found another and caught it! And I was like "Sweet...".
Oh, and I would also like to say that I also found a shiny wingull in Sapphire and caught it without even doing anything to it. Sorry, had to brag.

The only shiny I missed catching was a Weedle in Gold. I saw it during the bug contest & automatically ran from it because I'd been trying to catch a Scyther/Pinsir so I could win. A few steps later I face palmed.

I haven't only because the only one I ever found was a gold starly in pokemon ruby destiny: reign of legends and I easily caught it with my first great ball since it was only LV11.

Actually i can happily say no i havent. Between Shinys in ROMs which i have caught like 3 now, and the Gyarados in G/S/C i have never missed one. The onyl time was when i skipped over the Gyarados cause i didnt want it -.-

I've never missed a shiny before, unless you count the red gyarados (I could always reset and try again). However, I have seen shinies too low a level for me to damage without killing. I've even used my master ball just to make sure it doesn't get away.
