I think that the hardest final boss fight is a boss probably on legend of zelda, they're really hard and confusing, you got to think of ways to beat it. Or on pokemon games, you have deafeat some and they're all hard and challenging.

It's not neccesarily the last boss, but it might as well be.
But the Omega Weapon from Final Fantasy VIII gave me a three hour long battle.
Hardest three hours I've ever been on. And all for the last summon in the game >.<

I'd have to say Bass BX on megaman battle nework 6 if your doing the after story. It took me over 50 tries just to beat him on my real megaman battle network 6 game. He is the final boss of the after story only (and random encounter in graveyard if you've beaten him).

I think one of the hardest final boss fights is in Ultimate Mortal Kaombat 3... Shao Kahn! Shao Kahn can be impossible and only the best of the best or extremely good luck can beat im. It took me 2 hours alone to barely beat him! Even after that you have to fight a bonus round with Noob Saibot! (2 times better and stronger than Shao Kahn!)
As mush as I love Mortal Kombat it is way more difficult compared to Street Fighter and Tekken.

I have to agree with Lavos from Chrono Trigger. Quite easily an annoying boss. He has so many forms if you count the reincarnations he gets of previous story bosses. Not to mention the sickeningly evil twist that he has in his final form.

I don't think any final boss was particularly hard. Optional bosses maybe, but not final bosses. I guess if I had to choose I'd say Necron from Final Fantasy 9 only because of Grand Cross.

Now the hardest optional boss has to be a tie between Yaizmat and Zodiark from Final Fantasy 12.

I really hated the Wily Capsule from Mega Man 7 - the only way I managed to beat him was by spamming E and S tanks, and even then it was only barely.

You can really only deal realistic damage with Wild Coil, the weapon that can't actually hit him half the time, and his projectiles are very difficult to dodge (not to mention they can stun you for extra damage).

Seth in Street Fighter IV. This guy uses really cheap moves. And what's even worse is that when you hit him, your hits hit him normally. But when you actually play as him, and you get hit, you realize that when you play as Seth, he loses more health when hit, but not in story mode!
