As the title states, how old were you when you first learned or heard about sex, or generally figured out what it was. There was a thread a while ago on the other board I go to that asked how old you were when you first learned about gays. It was a funny thread, but probably not something to bring over to Vizzed. Instead, this was more appropriate, and will maybe get some of you thinking back to those days.

I could say that majority of us learned of sex during the sex-ed class all kids go through at some point in school, but being in a culture (the U.S. anyway) where sex sells there are all kinds of suggestive ads everywhere, not to mention other people/friends always talking about it and maybe having naughty pictures/videos. So when was your first time?

The age I was first knowledgeable about sex was around 10 or 11. In my opinion that's way too early in your life because it forces you to make decisions before you're mature enough.

ahhaha funny topic.

I think I started putting pieces to the puzzle together around 4-5 YO. But I didnt fully understand the dynamics until about 10-11. I used to listen to Adam Carolla and Dr.Drew on Love-Line every night, thats where I got a lot of info from.

I was about -9 months old

I don't remember actually learning about it, it just seems like one of those things I progressively learned about. If I had to pick an age though, I'd say around 7. I remember a friend of mine showed me his mom's dirty magazine stash at around that age, very disturbing and not something a kid that age should see.

I was like 6-7 and my friend was over at my house and I showed him one of my dads magazines. And we were getting some plumbing work done and the plumber saw me showing him and he straight snitched on us. And it was extra embarrassing because I went to school with his daughter and I liked her. So I dont know if he told her or not, but it was just awkward after that.

We learned about the "differences between boys and girls" in grade one. So I was about 7/8?? Also we learned what to say if someone was touching you inappropriately, and all that. Personally I feel it is necessary... kids should be aware of the basics and what's "private", and be able to tell teachers if anything wrong is going on at home... We had an overview of the same criteria in about grade four.

And then we got the full-blown sex talk in grade seven.
