I hope this is not a duplicate post but I was wondering which HM is best and why??


I think the HM Fly is the best although it is not completely necessary, it sure does beat walking or riding a bike every where you go! It also works well in batlle.

flash : I hate it, but it helps in Dark Tunnel

I liked Dive in the three games it was used in. It was necessary in those games and it was cool walking around underwater, and the best items were underwater. Plus it's like fly in battle just a little different.

I can live without flying (I actually don't mind going by foot/bicycle), however, Surf is a necessity. Surf is the water equivalent of Flamethrower, you need it to get to places more than any other HM, etc.

I'd have to say that it's a tie between Surf and Fly. Mostly because

They're both good attacks

They are both very useful


Fly is good because it's basically a 'Teleport' to any town you've been to, and Surf is really good because not only is it necessary to complete the game but it also gives you access to many pokemon and places unreachable w/out it.

Easy---- Cut back on the posting on this you're basically starting to say the same stuff over and over.

My favorite HM is Fly. Biggest reason is because I'm lazy and don't like to walk anywhere. Second reason is because this is probably the HM that is used the most in the game. Not to progress though.
