My brother gave me his old PS2, because he was going to buy the new one.
I used it only a few times and it was working fine(that was a couple of months ago). But 2 days ago I wanted to play with it, but when I turned it on, everything was green, like a night vision or something like that, but the games are working perfectly.
I checked my TV and it works fine without the PS2, so I guess my PS2 has a problem.
Does anybody know why this happened?

I'm going to take a guess and say it could be the cords. That's a complete guess of course. Any other notable problems? (Sound problems, noise from the system, ect, ect...)

Other than that, the hardware could be faulty I suppose, but if it was working fine before. Hmm, I can only take guesses really...

The Ps2 uses sync-on-green for their video... if you are using component cables, perhaps your progressive scan setting in the configuration menu is on the wrong setting.

I'd try using it on a different tv. Then changing the progressive scan thing like tRIUNE said.

Check all the options listed so far.
You will also want to check that the cables are not bent, cut or eaten (?) in any way.
If even the boot menu is coming up green it has to be an input/output issue, so that's the best place to start.
If it's just the games then also run a CD/DVD lense cleaner disk through the PS2.
Actually, you might want to do that anyway as part of some regular upkeep

Thank you all so much
I tried lots of things, but I thought that maybe the AV cable had probably a problem. So, I replaced the cable with my PS1 cable and now it works fine
