I thought this was very interesting. How would you feel if this occured in real life? It is already happening with games today by companies like EA and Ubisoft where they limit you on installs. But what if it affected real life as well? Whats your thoughts on this?

DRM is possibly the worst idea to come out. It actually hurts legitimate users more than people looking to steal your stuff. Crackers can bypass DRM within days of a new version being released.

DRM is just a stupid way for them to "protect their work" when in reality all it does is hurt people who buy the product. Pirates will not have to deal with DRM of any sort, except maybe no online play. DRM is also why some games become pirated so much, look at spore, it was pirated over 1 million times (estimate in some things i found online) in the first year. why is that? because it had extreme spyware like DRM. But the companies are convinced that it helps them somehow, when all it does is make people who would have bought the game pirate it so they won't have to deal with the problems DRM can cause (limited installs, constant internet required, cd keys, cant use backups/images, scans your hardware to make sure its the same computer and if the hardware is too different it counts as a second install,ect,ect).
