I played Pokemon starting from 1998, on a trusty little GameBoy, and than invested into the new, refined model - GameBoy Colour. I loved the games, so now after freeing some time I want to get back and enjoy the thrill of the Pokemon adventure once again.

What system should I get?

Theres ton's of them now, 2 screen's, mini's.. I see that cartridge size has changed too. What is the ultimate gaming machine for Pokemon (only) games?

What game to get?

Theres once again so many of them, the last one I had my hands on was Yellow, heh, good times. Now theres 4 generations of games out there. What to grab?

Thank you =)

If you want heaps of extra features and awesome graphics you'd have to go with a Nintendo DS, but for the best games were Gameboy Colour. And those games work on Gameboy Advance and then there's extras as well.
I'd suggest a GameBoy Advance.

I'd suggest getting a Nintendo DS lite. All the pokemon games that have been remade are for Gamboy Advance and up which a Nintendo DS Lite can play but don't be fooled by a DSi those don't have Gameboy Advance slot
