I could talk about Earthbound all day. Not sure where to begin really. I just recently played a Hard Mode version of it about a year ago, and it was pretty cool! I've beaten the regular version so many times that I was going to have a "play the game with whatever the character starts with" run, but then discovered the Hard Mode, and it was some hard!

I love how everything, and I mean everything, in the game has a double meaning. Even the game itself. When I first played it I thought it was a carefree cute funny game. And while I still think it has it's humour, in actuality it's also a very dark tale that spans across the 3 games of the series.

There are certain aspects of the game that i don't know why other games didn't steal. Namely the multiple battle musics in the game, it gives the monsters and the situations for each battle much more character than having a one size fits all battle music, and maybe 2 to 3 boss music.

I don't want to go to much further into detail, as I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't played it yet, but in all seriousness. To anyone reading this topic that hasn't played Earthbound before. You need to beat this game at least once before you die. You owe it to yourself. Seriously. I can't say that about any other game I've ever played.

exactly. my sister asked what earthbound was and i forced her in front of my computer, and made her play it. she loved it.(even though she cant figure out what to do half the time and i half to help her) but now anyone who has never heard of earthbound, we falcon punch.
(I know falcon punch is captain falcon not ness aor paula or anyone, but i dont care.)

That game was not only EPIC, but rather random at that. It had some inexplicable parts to it. For example, what ever happened to that random guy who goes into the restroom. He never comes out. Also, some Shark ruffians say, "You can join the Sharks, once you beat EarthBound." Also, that kid at the library and the mayor, they say "I'm still playing EarthBound." Isn't that a paradox, LOL. Otherwise, awesome game, and it is recommended for everyone!
