Um, the closest that I can remember is fighting Nyx at the end of Persona 3. Not much of a spoiler there as you can figure it out if you pay attention to the plot. But the WTF moment for me was when I first fought the battle and then she cast some strange spell. I had everybody attack like usual, only to have the spell reflect every attack and wipe my entire party out after having played the battle for about half an hour or so. That can be somewhat of a pet peeve, just a random name on a super powerful attack, but eh.

There is only one big WTF moment that can truly make this list and it happened long ago when I was a child playing on the NES.

Samus is a girl?!?!?! (Metroid)

After devoting many hours to that game and trying for so long to beat the game I was completely shocked by the ending. I was also hit with some guilt that I never had thought before that a woman could be a hero in a video game. Metroid completely changed my outlook on women in gaming at a very young age. That for me was a big WTF!

My biggest WTF moment is when I saw how hot Midna was.(In her human-ish form) Finding out Samus was a Girl was a pretty big WTF too.

In FF8 when I fight a Malboro, keeps using bad breath to cause many status elements. After I heal, the damn thing uses it again that completely pisses me off! Ahem.....the status elements include blind, silence, confuse, berserk, sleep, and petrify. I can't protect against all status ailments only a few. My characters have Treatment and Recover, but the Malboro uses bad breath at the beginning so the fight last too damn long.

yeah so i was playing KH 1 and my level was like 22 on hard difficulty so i get to the last boss defeat him(just) and i levelled up about 10 times during it and then i can't save right at the end and im like "WTF man why do that!"

Ok. My BIGGEST one was when I was playing Metroid Other M. I got the this room in Sector 2 (the half you enter for the first time is covered with Zoomers/Geemers and the other half has two Dessgeegas). So, I got to the dessgeega part and I wanted to get the missile expansion in the room before I fought them. When I tried to grab on the the narrow cage looking thing near the door to GET to the expansion, the two dessgeegas just blew up at random. Talk about WTF.

Another one (in the same game) is when I under estimated the Hard Difficulty. During the Ridley battle, he only had to hit me with: his tail, fire breath, or that fire ball move that spreads across the floor one time and I would die in one hit. That made me mad.

My last one is in Metroid Prime. When the metroids were attached to my face and when I go to leave the room, the metroids would blow up.

Finding out that cos I bought FFX unknowing that it was the international version I could not get to explore the world like I wanted to after beating the main storyline, I´m on the last boss now but I don´t think I will finish the game, this is just crap and it brings the whole game from a good score of like 7 down to maybe 3 out of 10.

I know I "can" explore the whole worlds but that´s a bit too much extra bother for something that is enforced upon me and not others just because I was ignorant of the fact that there FFX is different between if it´s European, international or any other version.

This is when you beat metroid and see that samus is a girl. The first time you are just like, "I've been playing as a girl the whole time? WTF?" Now everyone knows that because samus is awesome.

i HATE IT WHEN YOU'RE PLAYING A FIGHTING ARCADE GAME..LIKE STREET FIGHTER FOR INSTANCE. AND YOU AND THE OPPONENT ARE BOTH AT LOW HEALTH...AND WHEN YOU BOTH GO FOR THE FINAL HIT, THE OPPONENT ENDS UP WINNING! AND YOU COULD SWEAR YOU WERE THE FIRST ONE TO MAKE THE ATTACK! DOESN'T THAT MAKE YOU GO OMG WTF!! WHAT A CHEATER! lol.

When i was playing Super metroid. I put a bomb in the air and used grapple beam quick. Samus then broke into four and had a seizure. the glitch ended when i was done.

I would say the Glitch World in Link's Awakening DX.

Well mine would be when i beat the final boss and the power cuts off on me and i have to do it all over again

the bioshock storyline gave me terrible wtf, headaches moments throughtout the game cause i had no idea what was going on, what was the plot, and even what i was anymore. i simply thought i was just some normal human who ended up in the underwater city just trying to get away from the modern day city. but noooooo it was a whole different story then that. other then that yea i completely agree with the guitar hero tiliting when u need it most, it happens to alot of us i had my shares of screams and throws of controllers and what not. but the most wtf moment.. has to go to the water temple in ooc u cant sit there and tell me u knew exactly where to go when u first entered the temple, and im not talking about using a guide to help you along the way oh no i mean actully going through it all by yourself no help what so ever. that was a nightmare of a cluster f@#k. i remenber clearly i screamed so many times of being lost in that temple and messing up, i had to redo the whole campaign a good 3 to 4 times due to that temple. it was hell that is my wtf moment.

When I was playing some of my first games, it was when Ganon came back to life after throwing up red blood and crushing his lifeless body within his tower. I also tried using the Biggoron Sword even after I got the Master Sword back, but he wouldn't die. Apparently, if you have the Master Sword, he won't collapse unless the last strike on his tail is done with that sword equipped.

When I was playing Grand Theft Auto IV, I was on that mission where you have to pick who to kill, Playboy X or Dwayne, I picked Playboy X so I was shooting his bodyguards trying to get to him. I follow him outside and I'm about to kill him but all of a sudden a taxi runs over me, which killed me, so I had to start the whole mission over again.

I've had a few WTF moments.

In FF9 my WTF moment came when I first fought Ozma. I didn't look up a walk through or anything so I went into the fight completely blind and he pwned me in about 2 minutes.

Then there was an instance in KH2 when I tried to fight Sephiroth for the first time. I didn't know how hard it was going to be and I got destroyed instantly.

I thought of another one. In Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, the final boss has a ton of health. If you kill her with anyone other than the main character, she comes back to life with full health. This can happen an infinite number of times until the main character kills her. It was getting really annoying watching her come back over and over again.

Hey You Pikachu for the N64. The whole game was a WTF moment. "Pikachu, pick up the apple." (pikachu shocks you) "WTF?"
