tRIUNE : Not really. The bible does state that two men sleeping together is wrong, but it says nothing about whether homosexuality itself is a choice or even wrong.

geeogree : Your post did not address my question so it was irrelevant.

Traduweise : From what I wrote before(https://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/thread.php?id=13452&ppp=20&page=8#238689), when one asks why Christians would say that homosexuality is a choice is because they view it as sin. That is why tRIUNE said it was a issue of morality, which in the definition that geeogree provided, included "virtues in sexual matter" and "rules of right conduct". It will come down to whether homosexuality is wrong or not.

In responding to your "whether homosexuality is...even wrong" part (since I already commented on why Christian say it is a choice) I'm just going to copy down what I wrote on a thread from the Christian forum in red.

Back on topic, does God say that homosexuality is a sin? Yes.
"You shall not lie with a man, as with a woman. That is detestable." (Leviticus 18:22) Note: this is suppose to be God's message, so God finds it detestable according to this verse.

This is not one of those cultural or priestly laws, this is a moral law. It has been mentioned again in the New Testament.

"Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." (Matthew 6:9-10)

What about lesbianism? The Bible talks about it too.

"Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion." (Romans 1:26-27)

When I am alone, Give me Jesus.
When I come to die, Give me Jesus.
You can have all this world, Just give me Jesus."

play4fun : The definition of morality never came into question which is why geeogree's post was unecessary.

I'm looking at Matthew 6:9-10, and it says
This, then, is how you should pray:
" 'Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven...."

You probably meant Corinthians 6:9-10. But that's not too important. The Romans passage I must have missed; yes, that is fairly decisive.

Traduweise : From the "Sinner's Prayer" which you quoted I'd like to say right on! As far as 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, there are a few more that that .

I think it's about time to end this thread.

The thread topic is whether homosexuality is a choice and the last 15 or more replies (mine included) have strayed from that topic. This is not a Christian issue any more than it is a Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Taoist, Atheist, or anyone other religions issue.
