I have never played Super Mario Galaxy 1, but I do like Super Mario Galaxy 2. To everybody who have troubling to get both or just one of them, I think that Super mario Galaxy 2 is awesome.

Big and bold, with a progression that's been tightened up and streamlined. This is Mario at its core, and one of the best, if not the best, Nintendo has to offer. Sound
A much stronger saturation of "big band" tunes here, and that's just awesome. This is the absolute pinnacle of Mario gameplay: everything that makes a Mario game so incredibly fun is represented here. Both in 2D and 3D. If you just want to get to Bowser you'll be done in a few hours. But if you want to strut your gaming skills you'll be playing this one for weeks. But, there are some parts that left me wondering maybe some stuff that I didn't know from the first Super mario Galaxy game.

I think SMG2 is way better than the first one. Better levels, better powerups, more stars... it's just better in every way.
