to each their own I guess....

I've used windows systems since I could use a computer and I've never really had a problem. Although, I tend to replace my computer every 3-5 years so I never allow it to degrade too much.

I dunno. I've never ever felt a draw to go to mac. But hey, if it means you don't lose your connection then that's great.

I've never felt a draw to a mac either, and have always used Windows. I'm just interested in the reliability of the hardware is all. I'm fine with the OS, it's just the hardware carrying the windows OS isn't as well manufactured and durable as Apple Hardware.

ever dropped a mac?

don't.... I've seen macs stop working simply because they were dropped.... but maybe they've improved since then

Though, I also don't buy pre-made computers from stores. I make my own through a local company where I live that will assemble the computer and install the windows version I want. Then I get a clean set-up without all the extra garbage that other computers get and I get quality hardware.

I bet that if somebody dropped some of Skynet's hardware from high enough, it would stop working lol

You're lucky then, I don't really know of any places around here that do that. We have this one store where you can custom order computers to certain specifications, but the order still goes through a company, which in my case was Dell. I guess I shouldn't really complain about my computer when there's people who've never seen one, but oh well

Uggg, *shudders*

I hate when that happens, both of my family's laptops are at zero, and they won't charge, so, I'll back you up on that Dell talk. Just gotta be happy with what you got I guess.

Well, welcome back.

alexanyways : Are both the laptops dell? And are you using a dell charger? If you buy a dell charger, it might fill the batteries up, but cost you around a hundred, and they break real easy. You can also try getting an external charger to charge the batteries outside of the laptop, but that might not work. Dell will tell you to buy a new motherboard, which costs the big dollars. There's also software that slows your computer down when you aren't using a dell charger, and from some forums I've checked it can be as severe as 1600 mhz shrinking to 600 mhz. There used to be software you could install to reverse this, but every site that was listed that used to have it is no longer in service. Thanks for the welcome though And sorry about my not very helpful doom and gloom advice.

Yup, it's all Dell. Their Customer Service isn't the greatest either. Anyways, enough down talk.
