Yeah usually after a while you find that all the items you need you can get for free, with W-Item trick and stuff like that you really don't need money. The only time i think i use money is when i bribe the guard to let me up to Junon.

Just doing all the normal stuff, I thought 8 or 9 (probably 9) was longest. Or maybe it just FELT that way. Everything in 9 took for EVER and it was boring... The only thing that kept me going was getting to look at Princess Garnet every now and then

I've played FF7 the longest. I've always had one goal (since beating the game is easy): beating Emerald and Ruby WEAPON. A task I still have yet to accomplish without the aid of cheat devices.

Yeah...and in case you haven't figured out, don't put equipment and materia on 2 of your 3 characters for Ruby... Just get 1 character all buffed and ready for a fight, and let the others get rid of their materia so all the good stuff is available for your fighting character. Save before fighting of course, and hope Ruby sucks away your 2 bare characters and fight with your strong one. If Ruby sucks away the strong one, reset. He's really not that hard if you're properly equipped for that. Now, beat the snot out of him.

Not entirley true. Ruby will not knock Cloud away. Cloud is the one who stays there no matter what. I suggest going to www.cavesofnarshe.com and going to the FF7 section for a much more indepth guide on defeating the weapons.

Actually I think I remember Ruby knocking Cloud away at least once, because I know I fought him with Cloud, and I know that I did have to reset once because he sucked away the one I wanted to keep.



Still, not bad for just giving that strategy by memory, having not played the game in several years, huh?

He did knock Cloud away. The is an even easier way. Get into battle before that and kill off your other 2 char that way he won't suck anyone away. I am pretty sure I beat him with Cloud alone. Give Cloud Master Summon and Master Magic if you have them. Really you may just want Knights of the Round for the summon and strong defense for his couterattack to it. It's not too tough just make sure you keep your MP and HP up. Oh and don't try the HP MP swap materal even if you have master final attack because it still only revives you 5 times. If it revived you more you could fight all day with 9999 MP. You would get killed every round though.
