I haven't actually read the books but I'm aware of them. I'm a big fan of Frank Miller. What I've seen of the film looks amazing. They couldn't have picked a better man for the job than Robert Rodriguez, and I hear some of it was shot by Tarantino.

Finally got round to watching the DVD last week. Casting Elijah Wood as Kevin was inspiring. I made a point of reading The Hard Goodbye before I saw it. It really is a straight from comic to film translation isn't it?
I suppose you could look at that as a good or bad thing.
