Wow, Nintendo is really dishing out the surprises. It wasn't in the press conference, but IGN has shown some screens of it. If it is confirmed, what do you guys think of this? Is this a good move? My first reaction is "This is freaking awesome!!!" But then again, I don't really know if it needs to be done, and some might argue that this would in fact ruin the classic. What's your opinion? As if I couldn't get this on my Wii already or the way superior Master's Quest on a Gamecube. You know what I want? Mother 3 for the DS, but according to Nintendo a port to a console that reminds me of the Virtual Boy. -------------------- |

Only reason Nintendo did so well was because of the 3D thing. it is not coming out with many good, original games for the 3DS, just ports of old games. Nothing at that E3 really wowed. I think the PS thing will do well and they got dismissed for doing what Nintendo all ready did. 3D gaming will not become very popular until the technology is seamless.

Bobbynibbles : But they had Kid Icarus Uprising coming out for the 3DS and that's an original game, plus lots of people were excited for that game. There's also a lot of third party support from Konami, Square Enix and lots of other companies. 3DS is looking great in my opinion. -------------------- |

there is no need for an orcarin of time remake it stands alone greatly on its own so why does it need to be remade just get an old n64 or play it on this site its very unneccessary to do and kinda a waste of time especially since i believe thats on the wii shop channel its kinda ridicoulous they should leave it alone. -------------------- |

crjude1 : I agree that it IS great alone, but I think they just want to have some of the younger players play it as a remade game and add to the hype of the awesome game, plus, I don't think they'd change it a lot. They'd probably just make it more convenient, like for example, choosing equipment is kind of a hassle in terms of putting on different tunics, shoes, or shields. I think they said they'd make it more accessible. Plus, I'd like to see it remade just to see how it turns out. If I get a 3DS, I'd get the remake lol.

Bobbynibbles : Well, by original do you mean games that aren't from a series? Because Nintendo's main lineup is going to be series. But, no one's complaining. Zelda, Mario, Metroid... these games have been mainseries games for a long time, but they've all been getting great reviews from critics and fans alike.
Besides, those "good original games" you say? Don't tell me they're not going to start a whole new trilogy or series either, because odds are, they're going to make a sequel after that game's success. Plus, the other E3 conferences were all about sequels too. Halo Reach? It's a sequel. Gears of War 3? that's a sequel. Metal Gear Rising? that's basically a sequel/spinoff. Same difference. Twisted Metal, that's also a reboot/sequel. Seems like every game these days is going to be a sequel... but no one's really complaining. Anyways, the 3DS is a great idea in my opinion. mdynasty926 : yes. You should check out my post in the E3 thread. I cover those exact same points. I have no problem with sequels because some of my favorite games are sequels. But you do have to realize that very few of these games will be new games. It would take less time remaking a game for the 3DS than creating a new one. The 3DS itself just seems to be a way to get some extra money. I'm holding out on being excited until a 3D regular console.
