Hey people,

As a kid I played a lot of FIFA International Soccer, Super Soccer, and all the WWF games on the SNES but now I play them they were not as great as I thought they were.

What I want to know is, are there any games on here that you played a lot as a child which you thought was great back then but now you play it and it seems like "How did I ever get so much entertainment from this?"

Sonic and Metroid for the NES is a big one for me. Metroid for the NES I dislike today due to the poor jumping, terrible save system, exploration was terrible, and a lot more. While Sonic isn't a game where you really go fast, when you go fast you just crash into enemies. Basically you just had to memorize where you were going to go.

I feel the same for cartoons and movies, just because it's old doesn't mean it's good. And to the blind nostalgic people who act like their generation was the best? Go look at some of the crap that your era produced.

The eyes of childhood can, and will, alter memories. I was watching some old cartoons from when I was a child, and boy are they horrible now! people equate classic with good and many times classic just means old. Nintendo just does not stand up to Playstation 2 in quality and quantity of games.

Secret of Mana (SNES) was my favorite game when I was a kid. Now that I've played it again on the RGR, it just seems like finding the different ways to "whack-a-mole."
