I actually voted wrong. I voted "no", but I meant to click "what's that?" because my reaction to the title was literally "what the hell is that?" I never watch any sort of show like that. I don't generally find anything abut them entertaining.

Oh lord, as a Brit I regard this contest with a mixture of contempt and aghast admiration. Like, every year you think you've seen it all, and then BANG! someone is pretending to be a butterfly. Or there's a Serbian man with a limitless fringe.

We always send really awful representatives though - all of the good popstars wouldn't do it because it's seen as a joke.

Sure did. It's the kind of show you watch for the "What the......", and not actually for the music. But this years winner was kinda catchy, though. Of course, being from Norway, the host country, I'd had quite enough of it before it even started. Norwegian newspapers are all about sensations and celebrities, and most of them are basically slightly more than tabloid press, and whenever Norway gets some kind of attention, they all hype it up.
