Hey everyone
You can discuss the most pointless things you see in either video games in general or ceertain ones. You can also come up with theories on why it's there. A pointless thing I noticed was in the original Mega Man. There is no point of having TWO pause buttons. All people who use the Pause trick are not real gamers! What is the point of having hundreds of doors and not one of them you can go in or break down. What is the point of making backgrounds when you can go past the stupid invisible wall blocking you from moving further. 2 of the most annoying and pointless things I hate in games. -------------------- |

I hate in games when they out places places that LOOK like you can go tho them. But then the jerk called the invisible wall blocks you from it. DARN YOU! Especially in games like Super Mario Sunshine. That and the fact that some games have buttons you NEVER use.

I hate games that have life bars, but if you get hit or touch, you are dead. The health bar doesn't do anything, it is just there for display. I also dislike how checkpoints are being use in some games.
When you get to a checkpoint, then you are relieved to not go back all the way in the same level, but when you die, you have to go back to the beginning.  The codes and cheats for some games are useless too. I mostly play RPG's, so I'll make a list of the things that annoy me:
1) Your characters usually have magical powers, can take bullets without dying, and occasionally have wings... But they just can't seem to get over that measly patch of rocks, so you have to walk all the way around for an hour to get to the other side. 2) Some monsters in games are huge early in the game, but they have less HP/ power than some *tiny* monsters later toward the end. It baffles me. 3) When fighting in battles, apparently monsters stop and wait for you to take a drink and heal. xD 4) The stories. I don't even bother reading the dialogue anymore because the stories are all the same. 5) No challenge. I like RPG's but I wish that most of them would challenge me (Like Xenosaga did with the "Attack Zone" memorization, and like Mario & Luigi's battle system requires your complete, undivided attention)

Your character in Pokemon has a Regigas, (or any legendary. Arceus works just fine for this), and yet she/ he gets stuck on a ledge or a midget tree.
For some reason, Dragonite, with the intelligence surpassing a human's, can not use a Hyper Potion on itself mid battle. People who hack games. My list of pointless things in Video Games:
Not being able to see the health bar. No checkpoints or saves. Dying in a save point and i mean dying like as soon as you respawn is annoying as hell (happened to me in Modern warfare 2 campaign where i kept respawing from a save point and kept dying straight away from a grendade it was a really terrible gaming experience during the campaign and yes, i had to start the whole level again). When there is no health pickups (don't games mind where you can actually go back to full health by just taking cover as long as you actually can get health).
